The Moon Fell For The Sun

A Couple Months Later

                                                                                ~Katara~

                                        She looked at Zuko with eyes wide open, what he had in his hand shocked her completely. In his hand was a beautifully hand carved betrothal necklace, with both fire and water. She couldn't believe what was happening, and that everyone was there. Toph, Sokka, Hakoda, Suki, Ty Lee, and Iroh all grinning as if they knew. Even Toph had a smile on her face, that little devil.

                                      "Common Sugar Queen, accept it already. The suspense is killing us, and I'm blind!" Toph says breaking the magic of the moment, but that's Toph for you and everyone turned to look at her except Katara.

                                      She took his hand and turned around moving his hands to the back of her neck. "Fasten it." She said quietly, but it got everyone's attention. He quickly fasten the promise of marriage around her neck above her mother's necklace. She smiled, looking up at him and everyone began congratulating them. 

                                       "So when's the wedding?" Said a forced voice from the doorway and everyone looked up to see Aang standing there. Everyone just sat staring at him for a couple minutes, "Nobody speak up at once." Aang joked lightly.

                                     "Aang, you're back?" Katara said looking at her old friend as if he was a stranger, but in a way he had become a stranger to her. She stood up, holding Zuko's hand making Zuko stand up as well and walked over to Aang. She touched his face with her free hand, feeling the slight stubble that had grown on his face. She pulled both him and Zuko into a group hug, Toph and Sokka joining in.  

                                    Aang pulled back and hung his head at both Zuko and his soon to be bride, :I'm sorry for how I left things off last time we saw each other, I was upset and said things that ruined the great friendship I had. Then I just vanished, to think what was the smartest course to go with. I hope to patch things up, and have you forgive me." Aang says and once he finished he got pulled in again, this time Zuko pulling Katara in.

                                       "You had your reasons, but you're back now, and that's all that matters." Zuko said looking at Katara, "Now come enjoy this feast, there's plenty of food to go around."
