With that, Taehyung walked away, leaving Hazel standing in the rain, her heart aching with loss. The love they had built felt like it was slipping away, and the realization left her hollow. She stood there, drenched by the rain, feeling as if her entire world was collapsing. She had fought so hard to reconnect with him, only to have everything come crashing down.
Days turned into weeks, and the silence between them grew heavier. Hazel tried to focus on her work, but every moment reminded her of Taehyung—the way he smiled, the sound of his laughter, the warmth of his presence. She missed him desperately. Every time she heard a familiar voice or saw a glimpse of him in the street, her heart raced with hope, only to be crushed by the reality of their separation.
Taehyung, too, was struggling. He threw himself into his work, burying his pain in the tasks at hand. But no amount of business success could fill the void that Hazel had left. He missed their conversations, her laughter, and the way she understood him better than anyone else. Yet, the anger and betrayal he felt were like chains holding him back. He didn’t know how to forgive her father, and in turn, he felt he couldn’t forgive Hazel.
