Taehyung and Hazel were like two peas in a pod growing up, from laughter to dreams they always did it together. I say secret because the two spent nearly every waking moment engaged in some sort of play — pretending to be superheroes, setting up tea parties (there seemed to always have been a cake baking), making elaborate forts/volcano science projects/explorations into Narnia. They also shared a secret: They had been promised to each since they were both in diapers, forced into fulfilling an arrangement made by their powerful fathers meant to eventually unite the two clans.
Then Taehyung hit 14. and that made all the difference in the world. Unfortunately, his father's business took the family out of town. They day they moved out, everyone cried and promised to keep in touch. Hazel watched the car pull away and felt her heart break as she noticed Taehyung was not looking back at all, but they would be pulled apart for years to come. Their childhood memories and friendship moving farther away, feeling very solitary in their minds.
