The next morning came quickly, Taylor woke up, not as expected by her alarm clock or a ray of light flickering through the curtains, but by a sound that sounded like something fell down.
Taylor slowly sat up, grabbing her glasses from the bedside table and turning on the light. The blonde singer flinched at the harsh light and her eyes slowly adjusted to it.
She saw what had caused the sound, Juno, clutching her monster, sitting on the floor, looking a tiny bit confused. Taylor had the little girl sleep on the couch, however Juno moved a lot in her sleep which must have resulted in her falling off.
Juno got up, her blonde mane all messy and she sat back up on the couch, staring at Taylor as if expecting her to say something. Taylor didn't. What was she supposed to say?
"Can we get up?" Juno asked softly and Taylor glanced at the alarm clock 5:36am. The blonde singer groaned as she saw the time, knowing how badly she needed her extra sleep.
"It's early Juno. Go back to bed." Taylor said, clearly not happy about the situation she had found herself in and a sad expression flashed across Juno's face.
"Don't wanna sleep." the little girl whined in a grumpy voice that was, or at least Taylor found it to be, very annoying. However she looked so adoreable, starring up at her, her blonde messy hair and that adoreable little pout. Something about it melted Taylor's heart and made her frustration at the early hour fade away.
"You probably should try to get some more sleep." Taylor said, a very sad attempt to get the girl to rest, however the tiny blonde did not even move. If Taylor was being entirely honest to herself, she had no actual clue how to talk to a child. She knew that a young child probably needed more than three hours of sleep, yet what Taylor didn't know was how to get a child to actually sleep.
"No." Juno muttered, her voice muffled by the monster. Taylor noticed how Juno's eyes never left her, it wasn't in an affection seeking way but rather in a scared way, that if she took her eyes of Taylor, even for a second, something bad would happen.
"Well I am going to." Taylor said, trying to get the little girl to copy what she was doing and Juno looked at her weirdly and shrugged
"If you want."________
Taylor had ordered breakfast and Juno was slowly eating her cereals while Taylor was picking on her scrambled eggs. Taylor wasn't really hungry or at least she didn't have an appetite, she kept picking on her food, pushing it around on her plate only taking minuscule bites of it.
"Does it taste bad?" Juno asked slowly and Taylor looked up surprised and Juno kept looking back and forth between Taylor and the food. "Maybe a bit." Taylor chuckled, though the grin didn't quite reach her eyes and it looked empty, however the tiny blonde across from her didn't seem to notice.
"Want mine? It's good." Juno grinned proudly at herself for having made the right decision with the chocolate cereal, Taylor noticed that Juno wasn't an easy child, she didn't really listen, and comforting Juno was nearly impossible, but this little broken abandoned girl, was here, offering her her food so Taylor was have something to eat the little girl was sure she was gonna like.
Taylor didn't want to hurt the tiny blonde sitting there infront of her so she nodded, grabbing an extra spoon. Taylor knew that she wouldn't care much about using the same spoon but with Juno's aversion to physical touch, she didn't want to take any risks.
Taylor ate a couple of spoons from the cereal and Juno smiled widely, Taylor smiled too but it wasn't real. It hurt her. She didn't want to eat all of this, she didn't have the time to go to the gym today but she needed to make sure Juno was happy.
Taylor was in the hotel lobby, Juno beside her and Taylor sighed as she saw all the paparazzi. She had no idea how to handle this with Juno.
"Juno, you have to walk in front of me okay?" Taylor asked and the little blonde nodded, her eyes fixed on the flashing cameras outside
"So do you see these four men?" Taylor's asked pouting to the four security guards she had asked to accompany her
"You will walk between two of them and I will, the people out there with the cameras, they aren't bad people, but I want to make sure you're the safest you can possibly be and they will help us with that. Does that sound alright to you bug?" Taylor asked and Juno looked up at her with big eyes and nodded softly and Taylor smiled. She knew that Juno was gonna hate the paparazzi, Juno hated when one person came to close to her, Taylor knew that a buch if screaming adults pushing their cameras into her tiny face, were only gonna make it worse. As they stepped outside, Juno immediately turned around to Taylor, fear written all over her little face and Taylor tried to look at her in a comforting way, if it was another child, Taylor could've held their hand or hugged them but with Juno she had no idea what to do.
When they finally got into the car which had seemed miles away, or felt like it as they walked from the hotel entrance to the car, Juno had tears streaming down her face. Her knees pulled up to her chest and Taylor was at a loss for words. What was she supposed to tell Juno?
Without another word Taylor reached into her purse and fished out the monster, handing it to the small girl who buried her face in it and sobbed uncontrollably. The monster Juno was holding wasn't a monster as ugly as Taylor had deemed it to be, the real monsters were the ones making this little girl feel so bad. The real monster was Juno's father who had abandoned the little girl.
Taylor hated the word, abandoned. It sounded so bad but what else did this father do. He said he'd come back but he had said that before. Juno didn't even really believe that. Taylor felt sorry for the little girl, she couldn't understand how anyone could ever hurt her.
