I open my eyes, Carl's lips are still against mine. Seconds felt like hours. He finally released and stared into my eyes for several moments.
He grabs my hand, I naturally rest my head on his chest like I do with Luke.
We stay there as we watch the sun set.
"It's so pretty." I say.
"You're so pretty." he says flirtatiously.
"I miss moments like this." I say.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"Peaceful quiet moments, watching the sun go down, not having to worry about walkers." I say.
"Me too." he says.
"We should do this everyday." I say.
"I do, you can come with if you want." he says.
"I'd like that." I say.
"Let's get back with what little day light we have left. It gets dangerous at night." he says standing up.
I stand up and follow him down a ladder attached to the wall of the building.
"Why didn't you just use this to get up here?" I ask.
"The other way is cooler." he smirks.
I roll my eyes and chuckle.
We walk through the large field heading towards the walls. There's several walkers roaming around.
"Get your gun ready." he says. I follow his lead.
The walkers come near us from all directions.
"Shoot now!" We both begin to preform head shots.
We make a clearing and run for it, successfully reaching the walls.
"That was a lot of fun." I say.
"It's gonna be more fun now that I have someone to do it with." he smiles.
The moonlight shines through the branches onto his face. He's perfect.
"Want me to walk you back to your house?" He asks.
"Sure." I smile.
As we walk side by side through the woods I suddenly feel his hand grab mine. His fingers lock in between mine. I feel butterflies.
"I like you Clementine." he pauses.
I stare at him.
"Wanna be my girlfriend?" He asks.
Girlfriend? I hadn't ever thought of that label.
"What do you mean by girlfriend?" I ask stupidly. I never had a boyfriend before, I didn't know what to expect.
"I don't really know, just I assume kissing and stuff." he says.
"Sure." I smile.
He smiles back.
Once we approached the door step he stops and plants a quick kiss on my lips. He was taller then me, not much taller but tall enough for him to have to bend over to kiss me.
"Bye." he says as he walks down the street.
I walk inside and sigh with a smile.
"Clem?" Luke calls.
"Yeah?"
"Oh thank god! I was worried sick! Where the hell were you!?" He barks.
"I was hanging out with a friend." I say.
"Who?" He asks.
"Carl." I say.
"Carl? A guy? How old is he?" Luke asks.
"Calm down, he's only 14." I say.
"I don't want you staying out this late with boys." he says.
"You're a boy, and I live with you." I say crossing my arms.
"It's not like that. I'm your.. guardian." He says. "He didn't do anything to you did he?" He says.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"He didn't try to do anything to you, like you know..." I pauses trying to think of saying it some way I'll understand. "Like kissing stuff." he says.
Right when I hear kissing I get nervous.
"Uh-- no!" I sputter.
He raises his eyebrow. "You're acting suspicious." he says.
"N-no I'm not." I jitter.
"Did you do anything with that boy?" He says looking me dead in the eye.
His glare cracked me like an egg.
"Yes! I did do stuff with him! But not bad stuff!" I say.
"What kind of stuff then?" He asks crossing his arms.
"We held hands and kissed a little." I say.
Luke shakes his head. "Kissing leads to other things Clementine, things kids your age shouldn't be doing."
"Like what?" I stupidly ask.
"Like, messing around. The shit me and Jane did." he says.
"I wouldn't do that!" I say.
"I know you won't, cause you're not staying out late with him again." he says.
"Luke this is totally unfair! You don't own me!" I shout.
"I'm in charge and I'm only doing what's best for you." he says softly.
"He's my boyfriend I can't stop seeing him!" I beg.
"You can see him at your job. Just never anything like that again." he says.
"No! I love him!" I shout.
He shakes his head and walks away leaving me alone in the dark room.
