Patrick's p.o.v
"We're here! We're in London!" Samantha squealed happily.
We just got off the plane and walked in the airport at London. Samantha was clearly ecstatic, but I couldn't help but to think that if it's because of letter Devin gave her. I couldn't sleep knowing was having some sort of contact with this guy, but at the same time, I enjoyed seeing her happy.
"Daddy!"
I blinked and looked at Samantha, who was looking at me worriedly. "I've been calling you for a while. Is everything okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine " I lied.
I hates lying to her, but the last thing I needed is for her to get mad at me. She smiled and took my hand, leading to the others. Pee gave me that look that said "we need to talk".
"So who are this year's performers?" Samantha asked.
"Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and us," I said.
Samantha smiles at me, and squealed. I chuckled seeing my daughter acted like a complete fangirl. Seeing Samantha get excited over us was really adorable. Even if she was a major fan back then, it still made me happy that she supported us.
"Can this day get any better?" She asked.
"Depends. If you're lucky, we might get see Patrick sing Blue Rabbits," Pete said.
"Pete!" I shouted at him angrily.
"What's Blue Rabbits?" Samantha asked innocently.
"Well-"
I dragged Pete away from Samantha, blushing furiously. I did not want my baby girl knowing about that song. It will only scar her for life.
"Okay, clearly something's wrong," he said. "Tell me and tell me now."
I hesitated, biting my lip. I knew if I told Pete, he'd blow a fuse. "Dude, tell me, and you know I'm going to find out sooner or later," Pete said.
I sighed. I knew he was right. "Long story short, Samantha is possibly talking to Devin," I confessed. I watched Pete's face grow red with anger, and backed up a few feet.
"What?!" Pete yelled.
I looked around and was very thankful no one looked in our direction. "Quiet! I don't want Sam to hear us," I said.
"How do you know panda's actually talking to this bastard?" Pete asked. I leaned against the wall and fixed my glasses. "Sam was reading a letter on our way to the airport, and was crying, I'm not even joking. So on the plane, I took the letter and read it, and it was a letter from Devin," I explained.
"What did the letter say?" Pete asked.
"It was an apology letter and he said that he hoped that he loved her," I said.
Pete sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair. "Look... fuck," Pete whispered. "So when she was on the phone, do you think she was talking to Devin?" He asked.
"Possibly. I mean, you saw how happy she was back there. Even though this guy isn't really someone I'd befriend don't you think it's time to put the past behind us and allow her to be happy?" I asked.
Pete frowned and sighed, running his hand through his hair. "Yeah, of course. But I won't want Samantha to gt hurt by some asshole. She doesn't deserve to be treated like that!" Pete yelled.
"I know, but I think all we can do now is talk to Samantha about it," I said.
At that moment, Samantha ran to us with a smile on her face. "Guys, we're waiting for you outside," she said.
