Patrick's p.o.v
We were driving around the city to find Samantha, or any trace of her at all. Pete was driving while I was screaming out her name out the window. It was nearly eleven o' clock and there was no sign of her. What kind of a parent loses his own child? Me, apparently. I let my down daughter out of my sight and now she's missing.
"Patrick, it's we're going to find her," Pete assured me.
"How can you be sure, Pete?" I snapped. "How can you be sure that my daughter is still alive?"
Pete sighed and made a right turn. "Because Samantha is a strong girl. She never gives up, even when the world is tough," Pete said. He looked at me with a smile. "We'll find her."
I stared at him for a while before looking back outside. "I hope so, Pete," I mumbled. My phone rang, interrupting us, and an unknown number showed up. I looked at Pete and answered it. "Hello?" I said.
"Hello, is this Patrick Stump?" a woman's voice said.
"Yes. Who is this?" I asked.
"Mr. Stump, I'm calling from the Los Angeles Hospital. We have your daughter, Samantha with us."
"What?" I yelled into my phone. "I-Is she okay?"
'She's fine at the moment, sir, but we need you to come," the woman said.
I gulped and nodded, sniffing. "I-I'm on my way," I stammered, hanging up. Pete looked at me with concern. "Samantha's at a hospital."
"What? Is she okay?" Pete asked.
"We're about to find out," I replied.
It didn't take long for us to get to the hospital and I ran like I never ran before into the hospital. I ran to the receptionist desk and panted. "I'm here," I gasped. "For my daughter, Samantha Stump." The receptionist frowned and shook her head. "No one can see her at this moment, sir. She's in surgery," the receptionist said.
"What happened?" Pete asked.
"She got shot."
I turned around and saw Devin standing right behind us. "What?" I asked. Devin sighed and looked over at his sister, who was crying on Alex's shoulder. "Stacy, the girl that bullied Samantha before she was expelled, hired a guy to kidnap Samantha so that she could kill her for being more popular than her, but we managed to get Samantha out and call the cops. But Stacy still shot her, and we haven't been able to see her."
I nodded and walked over to Delaney. She looked at me with tears pouring down her eyes and her face red. "I'm sorry, Patrick," she sobbed. "We did all we could, but she ended up here." I smiled and rubbed her back. "You tried to save her, and for that I'm grateful," I said.
Delaney smiled and looked at two girls who were staring at us in awe. 'You really should be thanking McKenzie and Rylynn. They were ones who found Samantha and told us where she was," Delaney. I smiled and walked over to the girls, pulling them into a big hug. "Thank you for saving my daughter,"I whispered.
"It was no problem, Mr. Stump," McKenzie said.
I smiled and looked over at Pete. "I just called Joe and Andy. They're on their way," Pete said. I nodded and sat down. How could this happen? My little girl is at the hospital, and all because I couldn't supervise her.
"Patrick?"
I looked up and saw Paige walking up to me with a concerned look. I haven't seen her since the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and I may have called her more than once. She sat down next to me and rubbed my back. "What's wrong? Why're crying?" she asked me.
