It was Halloween, the time of year when everyone wore costumes—some terrifying, some cute, and others just plain boring.
Skylar and her friends were gathered in her dorm room, preparing for the big Halloween party. Well, mostly it was Aria and Jazmine helping her get ready, and for good reason.
Skylar had chosen to dress as Raven from Teen Titans.
The reason?
Miles.
A month ago, she discovered Raven was his favorite character, and from that moment on, she knew exactly what she'd be for Halloween.
Skylar had everything she needed: the bodysuit, the cape, the tights, and a sleek pair of black knee-high heeled boots. The only thing missing was the purple hair. Instead of buying a wig, she decided to go all in and dye her hair purple.
"I can't believe you decided to dye your hair on the day of the party." Jazmine sighed, peeling off the purple-stained gloves. She and Aria had just finished applying the dye and were waiting for it to set.
"I didn't have a choice! If I'd done it yesterday, Miles would've figured out what I was going to be." Skylar huffed, her lips pursed.
"I swear, the second he sees you, Sky, he's gonna be all over you—more than usual." Aria chimed in, stretching her arms until a few cracks echoed in the room.
"Correction: he's literally going to undress her with his eyes." Jazmine added with a smirk.
Skylar scrunched up her face. "Ugh, stop."
"Girl, don't act like we don't know you two are still hooking up."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Really? So that hickey we saw on your neck the other day was just our imagination?" Jazmine grinned smugly, and Skylar rolled her eyes in defeat.
