Ch 11: Upcoming Sport Festival

"Good morning Mina!" Ichika greeted as she entered the classroom. She had awakened extra cheerful today, the previous day had filled her with so much happiness she could barely wait for the next day. It was ironic, the boy who had filled her with so much dread before she even met him actually filled her with so much happiness after meeting him and getting to know him.

"Good morning Ichika! How was your day yesterday?" Mina asked.

"It was great! Went to the arcade, ate some delicious food, and even had a nice stroll." She beamed as she recalled the previous day.

"That sounds fun! I just hung around my room all day, just bored out of my mind. I did do a few dances in my room but nothing too fun." Mina pouted.

"You like dancing too? I actually played the dancing game in the arcade like 8 times." Ichika shared.

"You did?!" Mina widened her eyes before frowning. "Aw, darn! If I had known, we totally could have gone together and become the dancing queens of that game!"

"Next time then." Ichika replied, but as much as she would have loved to spend time with the fellow pink haired girl, she wouldn't have traded her time with the blonde boy for anything.

"Tch! Quiet down raccoon eyes! It's too early in the morning for your yapping!" Katsuki groaned from his seat, looking annoyed.

Raccoon eyes? Is that his nickname for Mina?

Ichika couldn't help but feel bad for her friend for getting such an awful nickname. She had noticed Bakugo seemed to give nicknames to others as he couldn't bother to remember their names, or just call them extras. Well, she did notice that she was the only exception, as only she got called her name by the unruly blonde.

"What an uncute nickname! Don't call me that." Mina huffed.

Ichika gave her a sympathetic glance before fixing her violet eyes on the blonde again. "Good morning to you too Katsuki."

He gave her a nonchalant glance before looking away, "Morning."

Deciding to tease him, in revenge for her friend, she asked, "And how was your day yesterday, Katsuki?"

She noticed his eye twitch at her question, and he grumbled "...it was whatever."

"Really? You didn't have any fun at all?" She continued to ask.

He fixed her a glare, "No, I didn't. I had some annoying brat hanging around me all day."

Annoying brat?! This guy!

"That's funny, I didn't know you asked for the number of annoying brats." She said with a teasing grin.

At her words, his cheeks flush and his glare hardens, "But the annoying brat was the one who put corny ass names in my and her cellphone."

Oh, now he brings it up!

"Well maybe she just wanted to see the annoyed look on your face, oh wait it's your default face." She retorts as she crosses her arms.

"You little bitch!"

Mina just glances between the two and asks, "Are you two dating?"

"No!" They both answer simultaneously.

They glance at each other when they realize they said the same thing at the same time. Even though Ichika knew she said the same thing, it still disheartened her to hear Katsuki's answer. I mean, she knew they weren't dating, since he never asked her out. But then what are they? Definitely more than friends but still not dating.
