Abel's POV
I woke up to the soft light of the early morning filtering through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room.
Bella was still peacefully asleep beside me, her body partially draped in the sheets.
For a moment, I just watched her, savoring the quiet intimacy. But as the reality of our situation began to settle in, a sense of unease crept into my chest.
The end of our vacation was approaching, and with it, the return to our separate lives. Bella was someone I didn't know I needed. The thought of parting ways, of letting go of what we'd found in each other, was almost unbearable.
Bella stirred beside me, her eyes fluttering open. She smiled sleepily when she saw me, reaching out to trace a finger along my jawline. "Morning" she murmured, her voice husky from sleep.
"Morning" I replied, leaning in to kiss her softly. "How did you sleep?"
"Like a baby," she said with a contented sigh, snuggling closer to me. "Last night was... incredible."
"It really was" I agreed with a flat tone, poorly hiding the fact that there was something on my mind.
She noticed the tone in my voice so she sat up to get a good glance at me. "Are you okay?" she asked softly with a concerned look.
I snapped out of my trance and turned to her. "Oh yea, sorry."
Her expression shifted, a hint of worry clouding her eyes. "Baby, what's wrong?"
I took a deep breath before I proceeded "I... can't stop thinking about something."
"Wow, this early in the morning?" She joked as she laughed sleepily, laying back down on my chest. "What you thinking about?" she said with her eyes closed.
I took another deep breath, trying to find the right words. "Our vacation is almost over, Bella. We both have to go back to our lives, and... I don't know how we're supposed to just walk away from this."
She slowly opened her eyes, silent for a moment, then she ultimately sat back up, her eyes searching mine. "I've been thinking about that too" she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I just don't want this to end" I admitted. "You're the only good thing I have in my life right now, I don't wanna lose you."
"I don't want to let go of what we have either. But we both have demanding lives to return to. Your music, my modeling-" I cut her off, sitting up and pulling her with me.
"I know it's not going to be easy, but I can't just let you walk out of my life. I don't want to go back to how things were before you."
"Abel, I've been thinking about this a lot."
Tears started to well up in her eyes, looking away as she was unable to bear the intensity of my gaze. "Our lives are just so different. You're always traveling for tours, I'm constantly on shoots or runways. How are we supposed to make this work?"
"We'll find a way" I insisted, gripping on her hand tightly. "We can visit each other whenever we have breaks. We'll make time."
"But what if it's not enough?" She whispered, her voice breaking. "What if the distance and our schedules drive us apart?"
"I don't know" I said honestly. "But I do know that I don't want to lose you. I'm willing to take that risk if you are. We can't just throw this away without even trying."
Bella looked down, her fingers playing with the edge of the sheet. "I feel the same way, Abel. But I'm scared, I don't want to get hurt. I've been hurt before, and it's not something I want to go through again."
I cupped her face in my hands, lifting her gaze to meet mine. "Bella, I understand. I've been hurt too. But I also believe that what we have is worth fighting for. We can find a way to make it work if we really want to."
She looked down and took a long pause.
"Do you want to try?" I asked uncertainly.
She took a saddened breath and looked at me again. "Of course I do, Abel."
Tears welled up in her eyes again, and she blinked them away quickly. "But what if it doesn't work? What if we try, and it just ends up tearing us apart?-"
I kissed her gently, trying to diminish her fears. "Don't cry" i said softly.
"At least we could say we tried. At least we gave it a chance. I'd rather try and fail than spend the rest of my life wondering what could have been."
She looked at me for a long moment, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and fear. "It's scary. Our lives are so unpredictable."
I nodded, understanding her fear. "I know it's scary. But maybe we can take it one step at a time. We don't have to figure everything out right now. Let's just promise to stay in touch, to see each other whenever we can. And if it becomes too much, we'll deal with it together. We don't have to have all the answers right now." I reassured her.
She took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "Okay" She sniffled "I guessed you have everything all figured out." she laughed softly.
I laughed with her. "Don't worry, we'll make this work."
She kissed me softly. "Thank you, baby" she whispered.
I grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to me. "Of course" I whispered back.
