Dhairya sat in the room, phone in hand, debating whether to call Aradhana and resolve their latest issue. Then an idea struck him. Instead of calling Aradhana, he dialed Avinash's number. As the call ended, he smirked and said, "Wait and watch, Miss Aradhana."

Meanwhile, Avinash stood outside Ruhi's office, waiting for her to come out. He had already decided to take her to lunch, hoping for some quality time together after a busy week.
Just then, his phone buzzed. It was Dhairya. Avinash answered, curious about the sudden call. After listening for a moment, Avinash chuckled and agreed to help Dhairya with whatever plan he had in mind.
Ruhi stepped out, radiant in a soft lavender dress, her eyes lighting up when she saw Avinash. "Hi," she said, smiling warmly.
Avinash slid his phone back into his pocket and smirked. "Hi."
As they walked to the car, Ruhi’s curiosity grew. “Where are we going?” she asked, tilting her head slightly.
Avinash grinned, not revealing much. “You’ll see soon enough. Patience.”
Ruhi gave him a playful glare, but her curiosity was still piqued. As they reached the car, Avinash leaned against the door, crossing his arms with a smug expression.
"By the way," he said casually, pulling a familiar books from the backseat. “Remember?”
Ruhi’s eyes widened as she recognized her favorite dark romance novels that Avinash had taken from her before engagement. “You still have those? I told you to give them back!” she huffed, cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance.
Avinash laughed softly, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Yeah, I took them from you for a reason. You were too obsessed with them. Besides, I thought it’d be fun to hold onto them until you learned a little patience.”
Ruhi blushed deeply, remembering how he’d snatched the books from her one evening, refusing to return them no matter how much she pleaded. It was infuriating, but a part of her found it oddly thrilling.
Avinash leaned closer, handing the books over.
Ruhi took the novels, her fingers brushing against his as she did. Her heart raced a little at the contact. She quickly glanced away, hiding her flushed face behind the books.
Avinash watched her, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Maybe you’re lucky I thought to gave back to you ”
Ruhi glanced at him, her expression uncertain as she processed the intensity in his gaze. For a brief moment, it felt as if their usual playful banter had shifted into something deeper, something more charged.
Breaking the tension, Avinash flashed her a grin. “Come on, let’s get lunch before you start reading and forget I’m here.”
Ruhi smiled shyly, but her thoughts lingered on the way Avinash had taken her beloved books so forcefully, and how a part of her had secretly liked it. As they drove toward their lunch spot, Avinash couldn’t help but think about how much those novels had captured her imagination. And with that thought lingering in the air, the distance between them seemed to close just a little more.
Their lunch was mostly silent, but Ruhi's cheeks stayed a deep red throughout the meal, while Avinash’s eyes never left her. He watched her every movement, the way she fidgeted slightly under his gaze, adding to the quiet tension between them.
