Alexander's POV,

"I scheduled a meeting with the council" I said and put my phone back in my pocket.

"They agreed to meet me out of nowhere?!" Micheal was surprised. 

We were on the way to the council and he asked to schedule an appointment with the council for tomorrow because he was driving and couldn't do it himself, he needs to depend on me a little more. It will take a night to reach to there because the place is far. 

"Seems like they were curious about you, too. I have heard dad telling that they council are curious about the reason you ran away from your home pack, so far away to our pack" I kept my hand on his thigh and moved my hand up and down.

"I see" his breath hitched when my hand moved a little upward "Stop, Alex. I am driving" He had in a low voice.

"We can stop by a hotel for the rest of the day" I let my hand go little more up.

"We won't be able to reach the council tomorrow if we stop now, please, Alex, I need to do it as soon as possible" he begged me. I sighed and took my hand back. 

"What will you tell them?" I asked while looking at him and he looks a bit tired "I can take over the driving if you are feeling tired" I suggested.

"I will tell them everything that happened. From how I was treated to different by my previous head alpha to why did I decide to tell them, now" he took a deep breath and I felt his worry. "I am fine, I can drive"

"It won't hurt if you get a little dependent on me, Micheal. I am your mate, your alpha after all" I leaned my head on the car seat but my eyes still not leaving him.

"I know... It's just hard" he gripped on the steering wheel "It's just hard to depend on someone when all this time, I have done everything on my own. I am sorry" he didn't had to apologize to me "You don't have to be sorry for anything, Micheal. You didn't do anything wrong and I understand"

"Thank you" was all he said.

I am worried about him, he doesn't open up. He acts like he is an open book but he has a lot of secrets. I want him to open up to me, I am his mate and if I have to wait for that, then I will wait till the day I die.

"Don't be so worried about me" he chuckled sensing my emotions. Yeah, you don't get used to another person invading your emotions and thoughts easily.

"It's just been a few days, Alex. I will open up, relax" he rubbed my thigh once before going to back to driving. I pouted because I liked the warmth of his hand on my thigh "Keep your hand on my thigh, again"

"Huh?" he was confused. His confused face is so cute! He looks like a lost puppy.

"I miss the warmth of your hand" he smiled. It was a genuine smile and it was fucking cute!

"Your smile is cute" I sat up and pecked his cheek which took him my surprise, so he blushed "You should smile more often, you look cute" he leaned back on the seat and looked at him with a dreamy smile which, I think, he noticed because he blushed harder.

"Find a hotel for us to spend the night" he ordered me.

"Yes, beta" I took my phone and started my search for a hotel.
