"We need to stitch his wound!" A voice said above me. "You know that wont work! His skin is impossible to harm!" Replied another. "Well if that was true how'd he get this cut?" The other thought for a moment, "I don't know. But It's not healing even with water or nectar, i need to test it."
Something jabbed into my wound, hot agony flared through my body. I couldn't take it. I passed out once again. This really sucked.
I heard multiple voices, the conversation went something like this:
Voice 1: "-poison. Ive never seen anything like it."
Voice 2: "Have you tried everything? Even the golden fleece?"
Voice 1: "Everything, he's getting worse everyday. When I tested it for poison he lost a lot of blood. And see? The wound grows larger, working its way to his heart I don't think he-"Someone came into the room, my eyes slowly opened. Chiron and Will were standing over me, Annabeth stood at the door pale. I tried to sit up but a wave of nausea hit me. "He's awake!" Will yelled out to the camp. I looked at Chiron, "how long was I out?" His eyes were faraway. Probably thinking if there was a cure. But I knew. I was going to die. "About three days. In and out of consciousness, barely. You've gotten worse everyday day that passes." He gestured to the cut.
For the first time I got a proper look at it. My skin was turning a greenish grey. The wound it self had a zigzag pattern all the way up to my chest, making its way to my heart. It didn't have a scab, multiple little cotton pads were on spots that I assumed were bleeding. "Pour some nectar onto it." Annabeth suggested, I knew deep down it wouldn't work. Will shrugged and did what he was told. I let out a scream. My body was on fire. My cut felt wet, probably bleeding again. I could feel my consciousness slipping. "Pour water on it. NOW." I groaned trying to stay awake. Will grabbed a clothe that was sitting in a bucket and placed it onto where he poured the nectar. I felt instant relief.
About thirty campers piled into the room and surrounded the bed. I became very aware that I didn't have a shirt on (Again.) and that I probably looked like I walked through Tartarus (Again). The water helped me enough to sit up properly. Annabeth came and swapped spots with Will and held my hand. I saw some familiar faces in the crowd, Nico, Leo, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Piper, Chris Rodriguez, Clarisse, even Drew from cabin 10. Two faces I wasn't expecting at all was Thalia and... Apollo?! Apollo pushed past the other campers and nodded at Chiron. "Everybody out come on. Even you Annabeth." Chiron guided everyone outside. Annabeth gave me a kiss and reassuring hand squeeze. Apollo brought his index finger to my forehead and I fell asleep, possibly for the last time.
