Thalia, Piper and I crouched behind a rock formation as dozens of skeletal soldiers searched for us. I shouldn't be scared, this was my father's domain. I couldn't understand why they were hunting us, Hades wouldn't command it. No something else was ordering them to, the only question was who? Oh and why, obviously. "Psst, beauty queen can you charmspeak them? Make them jump into the styx?" Piper slapped her forehead, "no I can't, we tried at the bridge remember? After we took his soul? They chased us, the best I could do was make them confused for a couple seconds." Thalia grumbled in disapproval, she drew her bow and sent a silent arrow into a skeleton's skull. It collapsed into a pile of bones, within seconds it formed back again, with an arrow stuck in the back of its head.

"We need to run, find another exit. These guys obviously don't want us to leave and in about ten seconds we'll be overwhelmed." I drew my sword.  Prepared to fight our way out when a terror inducing howl came from the distance, coming from the one and only Cerberus who ran at full speed toward the skeletons. One head picked up a skeleton and gave him the chew toy treatment. The skeletons wouldn't leave though, after all they didnt need to worry about dying. However their attention was on the dog which gave us a chance to sneak around, back towards Hades's palace.

We ran for what felt like forever. We ended up at the river lethe's shore. It would be a long way around or an energy sucking four time shadow travel that would drain almost my entire essence. We sat down to re-organise supplies and get our energy back when I heard the familiar sound of bones rattling behind us. Sure enough our skeleton buddies were back, riding Cerberus with reigns made of something that looked suspiciously like bones. This predicament left us with the only option. Shadow travel everyone across the river. I went up to Thalia first, "we need to shadow travel across, trust me." I went to hold her shoulders but she swatted my hands off, "what do you think youre doing!" I didnt have time for this. "I have to have physical contact with someone to shadow travel, your shoulders seemed the least weird spot." She sighed and placed her hands on my shoulders.

We appeared on the other side of the river, Thalia looked like she was going to be sick. I traveled myself back to Piper doing the same as Thalia. We landed right next to the river. I missed the water. Piper didn't...

"PIPER!" I yelled. I couldn't risk reaching into the water. She stuck her hand out, surprisingly dry. Thalia grabbed it and pulled her out. "Is there anything we can do? To get her memory back?" I nodded, there was one thing but I had a bad feeling about it. "We need to go to my father's place, just for extra protection for the moment." And so we set off.
