Well, things didn't exactly go as planned. But Vincent knew he mustn't fret, he had to focus on his dealings to ensure a smooth sailing for the community and his plans. He was preparing to run for council next semester, and he had to gain enough support by then. Besides, he will have plenty of opportunity to get to know the man with the bitchy attitude - but if he wanted to be honest with himself, the way he talked back to him, being all prickly and mean turned him on. He was not gay, of course, but this man had a weird effect on him, that he did not fully grasp yet.

The only thing he was sure, is that he is going to be his.

Vincent started to get renovations done to the house (to his father's disapproval, but he barely visited back these days so he didn't really pay him any mind) so it could fit more people in. He wanted it to be discreet about it, to not invite unwanted attention to themselves, and he did pay a pretty penny for the constructors for their silence. He also made sure to have one of his own guys as the lead engineer, so he get to keep the full plans within the community, not trusting anyone else with the blueprints he got done. It did prove useful to have people from all kinds of professions around for exactly this kind of reason. He and engineer Phil planned a full underground extension to facilitate more intimate meetings, and also a few private rooms for his amusement. Nothing like seeing a chick's shocked face when she finds out you have a whole underground kink chamber. Or so he fantasied.

While he was getting busy with the renovations and the usual business mumble jumble, he also paid special mind to dropping into the radio station as much as he could, or at least as much to not be creepy. Every time he faced the unhappy radio star with the sharp jawline he had to remind himself not to just fall on his knees and beg for him to join him. Something about his ignorance, his total lack of pretended pleasantries even when his words did mock small talk humbled him to the core. And that was something he never had before, no one dared to defy him, either because of his family name or because of the simple awe people considered him thanks to his carefully built reputation. Pursuing Alastor to join him for only but a drink, he eventually had to give in if not for anything else then for Vincent to stop asking. Somehow he managed to get Chrissy off his back with the excuse of "man's night" so he finally could be alone with Alastor.
