CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

Vi's PoV:

I did it. We caught them all. We won.

I happened so fast. But it did.

I feel good.

It's been 24 hours since the we took them down and now we're home. We have Dan and Felicity in separate cells in our base.

I'm here with Alex now to interrogate her about her plans with Dominic.

"Are you ready?" Alex asks me. He's been dealing with what happened. But he's convinced that he did the right thing and it's true. He did do the right thing. I'm just glad he's not spiralling.

"Yeah." I say and we walk into felicity's room.

"Come to visit me so soon?" She asks.

"Yeah. I brought you coffee. I thought we might catch up like old times." I smile at her mockingly.

"What do you want?" She says and looks at us.

"What were you going to do with the nuclear codes?" Alex asks.

"Why would I tell you anything?" Felicity says.

"Because your life is in my hands. So you better start speaking." I say to her.

She hesitates for a second. Then says, "we were going to use them for money. Such trading goes on a lot around the Dark Alley...or well, used to. He needed power and I was going to help him hack into the databases." She explains.

"And why were you helping him?" I ask.

"Because he promised me freedom. A while ago I hacked into the wrong place and it got me into a lot of trouble. I couldn't ask others for help, so I went to him. He told me he'd help get rid of the problem if I helped him. I was hesitant at betraying you first since you were my friend since we were just children but I needed to feel safe. So I did it. With time I realised that you deserved it." She says. I see no hint of my best friend in her.

"I see. You'll be kept in special captivity from now on and the police will take care of the rest. I wish you luck, even if it has run out. Bye Fel." I say as we walk out the door.

"So what now?" Alex asks.

"Now we go to Dan." I say as I walk towards his cell. He's being kept in my torture room for obvious reasons. Alex has "visited" him a few time but it's finally my turn.

I enter the cell to see him chained up. The chains hang from the ceiling and his hands are stretched up.

"I hope we're treating you well, Dan." I say to him as I enter.

He says nothing, just looks at me. I notice the amount of blood on him from Alex's visits.
"Don't worry, I'll treat you better." I say. I see fear fill his eyes at that.

This will be fun.

I pick up a knife and walk to him.
"You haven't lost any limbs yet it seems."

He deserves the worst. For what he didn't to me and for what he did to my parents.
I'll be honest I couldn't even look at him. But he'll get what he deserves today.

I pick up my knife and bring it to his hand. I make a cut on it, just like he did when I was captured.

He screams in pain due to how deep it was.
"Please, I'll do anything for you." He says.

"Anything?" I repeat it just the way he said the word when he made Alex beg.

"Yes please. I'll do anything. I'll be a watchdog for all I care. Please stop." He cries out then the knife makes another cut on his arm.
