As the Bradford family got bigger, vacations became more and more frequently. The Bradfords had minimum 2 big vacations, one in the winter and one in the summer, but sometimes they managed to go on even more than two. They were always going with the Lopez family and this year was the same. Winter vacation was almost here and they were getting ready to leave. Tim, Lucy and their two beautiful kids were packing for a ski vacation in Canada. Tim and Wesley were going to drive for 14 hours to Portland, where they were going to spend a night and then for another 11 hours to Revelstoke Ski Resort, Canada. The drive was going to be tough but it was totally worth it.

The night before:

Tim and Emma, his 4 years old daughter, were curled up under a blanket on the couch, watching a football game. They were both wearing the Rams jersey, clapping and cheering at every goal they scored. Tim had taken care that his and Lucy's daughter will be as interested in football as him. Lucy walked downstairs, holding a 2 years old blonde boy on her hip. She sat on the couch next to her husband and their daughter.

L: It looks like they are going to win.

T: Of course they are! What are we saying Em?

E: Go Rams! Go Rams! she cheered making her dad prouder than ever.

L: Have you two packed everything for tomorrow?

T: Mhm, sure. Tim said not paying attention to her.

L: Tim...Tomorrow you'll have to drive for 14 hours...we should all go to sleep.

T: But...

L: Tim...

T: Okay, fine. Let me just watch this last goal and I'll come into bed.

Lucy nodded, kissed his crown as she stood up and went upstairs to put Noah in his bed. She changed into her pyjamas and got into bed too. A couple of minutes later Tim came.

T: Emma's asleep. he took off his jersey and changed into his pyjama. He got into bed and pulled Lucy closer, so her body was pressed on his, placing a kiss on her temple.

L: I can't wait for tomorrow!

T: Yeah, me too. It's going to be great!

6am:

Tim's alarm went on, waking him and Lucy up. They spent a couple more minutes in bed and then got up. Tim went downstairs in the kitchen to prepare some sandwiches. Lucy woke up the kids and helped them change. At 6:45 they were in the car ready to go. The kids were in their seats, all covered in fluffy blankets, trying to get some more sleep. Tim was driving, one hand resting on Lucy's thigh. After less than an hour they were out of the beautiful L.A. Tim stopped the car at a gas station, where they were going to meet up with the Lopez family. While the kids were sleeping in the back of each car (Angela and Wesley have 2 kids, Jackson, which is 6 and Katie, which is 4) the adults were talking about the long drive. They drank coffee and then started driving again.

After a few more hours of driving, Emma started waking up.

E: Mommy? Are we there yet?

L: No sweetie, I told you 5 minutes ago, we still have to stay in the car for a couple more hours.

E: But I'm bored!

Lucy left out a sight. Talking with a 4 year old was exhausting.

T: Em, why don't you draw something? Mommy packed you some markers and a colouring book, why don't you try that, huh?

E: Okay.

She started drawing and that kept her quiet for a little longer, but then her brother woke up too and they have to stop the car so Lucy could feed him. After that short break they continued driving and Tim was getting more and more tired, but eventually, after 14 hours of driving and millions of question about when they were going to get there, they arrived in Portland. They were all staying at the same hotel, one next to the highway, which had breakfast included so they could eat something right before they went back on the road.

The next day they had breakfast and then hopped on the road again. After 11 exhausting hours of driving they finally arrived in Revelstoke. They went to a well known Ski Resort and it was stunning. Each family got their own apartment, and they could reach each other's by the balcony, which was shared. Their rooms were so big and they were giving a cozy vibe. They even had a Christmas tree in the living room, which clearly was going to make the Christmas holidays way better for the kids. Not to mention that outside, on the balcony they had a shared jacuzzi, which made Lucy and Angela happier than ever. They took the dinner, which was included, and then they all went to bed.

This is the end of the first part of Vacation, hope you liked it!
