A/N: this is a short chapter just giving a little bit of background,of the conversation about Damian beating someone up.

It was back when we still lived in our childhood small town. Everyone was hit with the full force of poverty.
I was walking with Damian and his friend Josh. It was after we got back from the skating park.
We were 15-17 at the time, this was before me and Damian were even dating.
Hey what's up guys I hear a guy yell to us in a cockey tone.
The guy that yelled to us, was with two other guys. I didn't know them but I knew him his name was Trevor and he was a major dick.
What do you want Trevor? Damian says in an annoyed voice.
No need to be rude I was just walking by.
He looks at me and gives me a nasty grin.
Oh who's the hottie? He says looking me up and down.
Back off Trevor Josh says firmly.
I don't think I asked you. Trevor says still looking at me.
I squeeze Damians arm and look up at him. I've never seen him look so pissed in all my life while he was looking at Trevor.
Trevor turned to talk to me his face now close to mine. Do you wanna come hang out with us cutie it will be fun?
Before I could respond Damian punches him hard in the face causing him to stumble back.
Don't fucking talk to her! He said in a tone that made me flinch a bit, I've never heard Damian yell before.
Trevor wipes the blood from his nose. You shouldn't have done that Diaz!
Trevor runs at Damien, ready to punch him
Damon swiftly blocks it and punches Trevor in the side of the head but Trevor recovers quickly and punches Damien in the gut causing him to wince a bit.
guys stop! Josh yells
they both roll on the ground, both fighting for top and Damian gets it he sits on Trevor smashing his head into the ground with his fist
I'm going to fucking kill you he yells
as he continues to punch him Josh tryst to pull Damian off. Come on man your going to far.
Trevor's other friends join and eventually manage to pull Damian off
Trevor's knocked out on the ground in a bloody mess.
Damien grins at the sight and turns the Trevor's friends.
If either of you ever so much as look at her I'll beat you senseless too he scoffs he walks over to me.
He smiles sweetly are you okay lynn?
Yeah I'm ok just.....shocked
He puts his hand on my cheek. I'll never let anyone hurt you lynn I promise.
I lean into his hand with a smile feeling at ease from his promise. I've never seen you so angry.
he Chuckles yeah for some reason when it comes to you I don't take the shit.
well I'm glad I have you to protect me i smile.
Yeah I'll always be here for you. he pats me on the head and walks over to Josh.
I stand there watching as he walks away happy I have him.
I feel my face heat up for the interaction. Wait did he just flirt with me?
