Hogwarts had slowly turned colder over the week. Halloween was nearing along with the feast turning the school into a pumpkin haven. Everywhere you looked a floating jack-o-lantern or a lone candle could be spotted throughout the corridors, and the ghosts were out in full force trying their best to put more magic into the atmosphere by appearing and disappearing startling any students who happened to pass by.

If Remus and Cami happened to huddle closer together during their patrol neither mentioned it. The school was excellent at putting together an atmosphere fit with the holidays.

"The school really needs to look into a heating system for the corridors. It's ridiculous to expect the students to be wearing their winter gear this early into the year! It's warmer outside than it is inside," Remus exclaimed indignantly. He wrapped his red and gold scarf tighter around his neck as he rubbed his hands together.

Cami laughed at the miserable mood that her lanky friend was in, clearly he wasn't used to lower temperatures. The girl was fine in her green and silver sweater and trousers, her family had trained her not to show any signs of outward discomfort, and the nights spent in the cold room had acclimated her body to weather in inhospitable temperatures.

The tall boy narrowed her eyes at her, "Laugh it up Cami, once the snow comes in I'm sure you'll be going through exactly the same issues that I am currently."

The blonde nodded her head sagely, "Yes, yes, it's dreadfully cold. If only someone had invented a certain charm to ensure you would stay warm. It certainly would explain my lack of a jacket or scarf, I must be built differently than you."

Remus cursed quietly fumbling in his pockets to draw out his wand, wordlessly casting the warming charm and sighing in relief. "We've been walking for over an hour. How long were you going to let me suffer before speaking up hm?"

Cami stuck her arms behind her back as she sped up to walk in front of him. She turned around to face him, "I have no idea what you mean Remmy. I only remembered the charm existed once you cast it." Her face displayed an innocent facade but Remus could spy the mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

She continued walking backward as Remus chuckled back at her sarcastically before she ran into something, which was weird considering that she was walking in the middle of the corridor. She made a soft sound of startlement before whirling around to catch the sight of... nothing. Cami furrowed her brows in confusion as she stared at an empty space. She put her arm out in front of her and swatted the air earning a yelp of pain before a fabric was being ripped off of a body.

"James, how, where did you, what are you, you are in so much trouble," Cami settled on finally. She had a myriad of questions but none were as important as a student out of bed after curfew. Her eyes focused on the piece of fabric he was holding trying to understand how it could've cloaked his body from her eyes.
