LOVE

I'm in love with Billie.

..Are the only words ringing in my head.

I cant stop thinking about what Grace said.

She can't be right, can she?

I get she's a therapist and all, but not all therapists know what they're talking about.

Right?

I think she's wrong.

A pair of hands snake around my (might I say, nonexistent due to my bump) waist and I flinch from the sudden feeling.

"It's just me, Lovey." Billie whispers softly.

I turn around from washing dishes in the sink and Billie smiles once I'm facing her. "Hi, pretty girl." She grins.

"Hey. You sleep okay?" I ask.

"I slept great." She answers. "I just missed you holding me though."

"Sorry. I just couldn't sleep. I needed to do something." I sigh. "Lovey, what's up with you? You've been acting so weird." Billie tells me.

I can't tell her the truth.

It's so obvious she doesn't feel the same.

I mean, not that I like her like that anyways.

I swear I don't.

"Nothing's wrong." I reply. "Something has to be going on. Please be honest with me." She pleads. "I don't wanna talk right now. Not about this." I shake my head.

"Please, baby. Did I do something wrong?" She asks with tears in her eyes.

I'm being such an asshole.

I grab her face in my hands and wipe her tears. "Billie, I love you so so much. You did nothing wrong. It's just my brain. I don't know what's going on with me right now, but it's not your fault."

"You promise?"

"Swear on my life." I reply. "I love you more than anything. Don't forget that, okay?"

"Okay." She nods. "I love you too."

I smile and kiss her head. "I just need a little time. I have a lot going on in my head and I'm trying to figure my shit out."

"Please talk to me when you're ready." Billie says. "I will." I respond. "Wanna watch something to relax?" She asks. "Sure." I nod.

We sit on the couch and I turn on the tv. I lay my head in Billie's lap and she runs her fingers through my hair while we watch one of our favorite movies.

I love when she does that.

I just love being with her in general.
