BILLIE

Today is me and Love's one year anniversary and we have our date tonight.

Love is doing much better after seeing Graces and she's using her coping skills to help whenever she remembers what happened.

I'm so proud of her.

As for Grayson, he's doing amazing. He keeps saying 'mama' and is taking more and more steps each day.

He's growing so fast.

Anyways, Love is still asleep, so I went out early and got her some flowers, her favorite chocolates, a card, and balloons to surprise her when she wakes up.

I just got home and I assembled the basket I put everything in while Grayson watched his dancing fruit.

I of course kept an eye on him, but it occupied him so I could have some time.

I walk into the bedroom with the basket and I see Love, rubbing her eyes.

When she takes her hands off her eyes, she sees me and gasps.

"Happy anniversary, baby." I smile and hand her the basket. "Aw, baby, you shouldn't have!" She pouts with her hand over her heart. "You're so sweet."

"Anything for you, my love." I grin.

Love looks through the basket and pulls out the card. "Is it okay if I read it?"

"Of course." I nod my head.

"Baby, this is so fucking cute. Thank you." Love gets off the bed and gives me a hug and a kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby girl." I smile and kiss her forehead.

I'm so incredibly nervous for tonight.

I really hope Love will like her surprise.

I've wanted to surprise her with this since the day we started dating.

"I feel horrible that I didn't get you a present, but I did get you a card." She says, grabbing it from the nightstand drawer and handing it to me.

"Don't feel bad, mama. This is plenty enough. You could've given me a kiss and I would've been fine." I chuckle.

"Shhh, just read your card." She giggles.

I grin and open the card to read what she wrote.
