chapter 14

    Anthony was going over the speed limit in the highway going in between car and cutting them off rushing to go to the hospital. Bella sat in the front seat while Gennis, Tool ,Princeton and I squished in the back seat. We were all to sad to talk so the car was silent , I began to get really nervous so i grabbed Gennis and Princeton's hand because I was sitting  in between them. I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes. 

 When we arrived at the hospital we ran to the main lobby to see Corahn and mama Lockridge who was holding Malaysia , then next to them sat a women and a man holding on to each other crying hysterically. I was guessing that was Janie's parents. When Corahn looked over at us his eyes were bloodshot read and tears were coming down his face , he looked destroyed. We all walked up to him and just gave his a group hug. We eventually hugged Janie's parents as well and told them how sorry we all were about the lost 

"Take a walk with me ?" Corahn asked dully 

I glanced over at our group of friends and saw that Princeton was holding Malaysia " of course" 

We began to walk down the empty hallway in silence for a minute " you loved her .." I said in a soft tone 

Corahn sighed "no I didn't .. but she is the mother of my child "

"if you don't mind me asking .. what happened to her ?" 

Corahn took a deep breath and let it out "The doctors are saying that while she was giving birth she caught some type of infection that began to kill her slowly but they aren't sure if that's the real reason why she .. passed " 

"so basically the doctors are taking a guess on what happened to her"

"Pretty much" I heard the anger in Corahn's voice 

"I don't know how im going to do this on my own" he added shaking his head slowly looking down at the floor 

"Cor your not alone you have your mom a group of friends who care about you and plus you have me" I said with a small smile 

Corahn gave me a sad smile "yea your right .. i just know my high school life is over" 

My face grew serious and I looked away because Corahn was right about his high school life being over "maybe but you have a beautiful daughter which is even better" 

"Yea she's the best gift I ever got" 

I smiled at the fact Corahn loved his daughter so much "sooo .. when were you going to tell me about Royalty ?" 

I felt my face became stiff and my heart started to race "so you heard on the news .." 

"Instagram" Corahn corrected me, I knew Corahn was changing the subject about my issues because he didn't want to think about his 

I sighed not really wanting to talk about the subject " I found out about her like three days ago we are going to meet her soon"

"How's your family taking it ?" 

"they are dealing with it but my mom is taking it pretty hard"

"as she should be" 

I nodded my head "When I meet Royalty you should come with me and Malaysia " 

Corahn made a confused face "you sure ?I mean that's a family thing .."

"I want you there Cor" I insisted 

Corahn smiled and kissed me on the cheek "i'll be there" 

"There you are Corahn .. The doctors want to speak with you"
