real life !

as eliza left her room in the apartment, her friends (and potential boyfriend) sat on the couch, waiting to greet the girl.

as she opened her bedroom door, the group cheered and all stood up, singing happy birthday. she smiled widely and did a twirl.

after they sang, lyra immediately ran over to her bestfriend and enveloped her in a big hug, wishing her a happy birthday.

"so, we've got like a surprise, but we're just gonna tell you now, cause we hid you from enough things with these three," lyra begun. eliza furrowed her eyebrows in confusion at what she was saying.

"your mom is coming back to new york and were all going out for like a fancy meal together," nick smiled, looking at the reaction slowly unfold on his friends face.

eliza gasped, "no, we're not!" she didn't believe him, "i thought my mom was too busy working to fly over? she told me she had so much work to do?"

"she did!" matt emphasised.

"but how?" she asked in confusion.

"i messaged her," chris finally spoke up and looked at her.

the girls' eyes gleamed with happiness and a wide smile was displayed on her face. "you messaged my mom?" she asked, to which he nodded, "the christopher sturniolo messaged the taylor swift,"

chris nodded proudly and shrugged his shoulders, as if he didn't freak out when he messaged her. he did ask if lyra would do it, but she secretly knew it would mean so much more to eliza if he did it.

eliza launched herself into chris' arms and mumbled a 'thank you' into his neck. she squeezed him tightly and rocked him side to side.
