elizalookedoverat lyra who had seemed to be glued to her phone for the most part of the day, yet she hadn't said why. eliza assumed it was something to do with matt, but who knew.
"what's going on?" eliza asked.
lyra dropped her phone and looked at eliza, shrugging with a guilty face, "nothing, why?"
"you're acting weird, you've been on your phone like all day. is it matt? has he done something?" lyra continued as she speculated about their relationship.
"what? no, no he hasn't," lyra smiled. she tried to think of something to change the conversation, "what time is taylor getting here?"
lyra looked at the time on her phone, "she said like in twenty five minute, so not long. she's got a surprise for me, but she won't say what. it's so annoying!"
lyra laughed at her bestfriend, "it's fine! you'll know soon, it's good i promise,"
"are you gonna be okay on your own?" eliza questioned, "i feel bad we're leaving you here by yourself,"
lyra looked around the hotel room they were in, "are you kidding me, eliza? this is like one of the best hotel rooms to be left alone in, like, have you seen this tv? i'm going to be just fine for a few hours before the concert," she explained to her bestfriend.
there was a knock at the hotel room door, "oh, maybe my moms here earlier than she thought," eliza shrugged, getting up from the bed and walking to the door.
she opened the door and embraced her mom in the tightest hug, bearing in mind she hadn't seen her in nearly a month.
lyra smiled and sent a message to the groupchat, even if they wouldn't see it until they land in new york.
