the five of them sat around the sofa, nick had claimed the corner spot as his own for the time the triplets were staying there. matt and lyra took to another sofa next to the big one and eliza lay across chris' lap not from from nick.
eliza and chris were quietly making small talk to one another, completely blanking the rest of the group, just in their own little world.
"they make me sick," nick commented, looking at the pair, who were still completely oblivious to comments being made about them.
"literally. cause they like hated each other five days ago and now they're like basically married," matt added onto the point.
"they are cute though and they both deserve each other," lyra said to matt and nick, smiling at the look on her bestfriends face.
lyra was truly so happy for eliza. after everything archie did to her and also put her through, eliza deserved someone who looked at her like chris did.
at the same time, eliza and chris sat up and turned to the group, "can we order food?" chris asked.
nick furrowed his eyebrows, "what do you mean? we literally ate not even like, thirty minutes ago,"
chris and eliza looked to each other, large grins on their faces, "okay, well, me and chris are gonna order food,"
she stood up from the couch and walked into her room, chris still was getting up of the couch when the group turned to look at chris.
"so..." matt began, chris looked to his brother. he widened his eyes and shrugged, as if to say 'what?'
"you know..." nick then started, knowing that if any of them said the wrong thing, chris would flip out. "you guys are like best friends again,"
"well yeah, we made up?" chris responded, "and i have a lot of lost time to make up for,"
"mhmmmm!" lyra immediately butted in, "you do. so you better not screw up again chris, because god help me if you do," she threatened.
chris nodded, "i know, lyra. you can calm down on me," he then thought about it, "i'm planning on taking her on a like proper date. and if i feel like it's the appropriate time, i wanna make her my girlfriend..." he admitted to his brothers and friend.
the groups jaws dropped at the same time, "oh well! that's good... yeah..." matt awkwardly replied, scratching the back of his head.
lyra slapped matt round the back of his head, "it's a good idea chris. you do make her happy when you're not being a dick, but please come to me to help plan! i love planning things!"
"okay, sure i will do," chris responded, "and when i do i'll-"
"what's taking so long, chris?" eliza stepped into the room and looked around at the group.
everyone turned silent and turned towards the girl who now had entered the room, "nothing, i'm coming now anyways," he lied to her.
eliza nodded but wasn't 100% convinced, but she chose to not say anything. eliza walked back into her room, and as soon as her back was turned chris looked to the group and put a finger on his lips, say nothing he mouthed to the group.
the group nodded at him, lyra even put her hands up in surrender. the best friend secretly prayed that the boy wouldn't mess up again, eliza deserved some good in her life.
