Feeling like Family

A/N this is going to be on the same day as the last post (Gracie's debut v city).

As the full time whistle went you could feel the stadium roar. A sea of read and white chanting and singing. The north bank especially waving their scarfs around celebrating the 2-1 victory over a very strong city team, and this was only the start. As I was starting to walk to the team who was starting to form a circle I felt someone jump on my back and I didn't even have to turn around to know who it was. "Well done superstar." I heard them say as she now stood next to me. "You played really well." Leah said to me smiling to which I copied. "Thank you so did you." I replied as we joined in the team huddle. I won't lie, I don't really pay attention to what Jonas was saying as I was to focused on the fans. Loads of them were still her chanting in the stands or waiting for the players to come round and sign things. Before games I'm focused so I don't really Interact with any fans or go on social media, but after games I try and make as much time for them as I can wether that's signing things or just taking more time to appreciate them by going round the whole stadium. And that's what I notice with some players, the don't go round the whole stadium or go straight into the tunnel which personally I don't get, if the fans come out to watch you play win loose or draw, sun or rain, weekend or mid week, league or cup I think you should still go and appreciate them even if it's just clapping after the game.

I was cut out of thought by everyone putting their hands in the middle and Leah putting her left hand on my waist which made me blush a little as it caught me off guard. "Did gracie ephgrave just blush?" Leah whispered in my ear as everyone else shouted "team" to which I lightly kicked her with my right leg. As everyone started to break away Leah took her hand off my hip and we started making our way around the stadium to thank the fans for their support. While clapping the fans I noticed my parents in a box. I waved and blew them a kiss to which they did back. It was only my mum, dad and nan. I was quite sad my brother and sister couldn't make it but I was so happy my parents and Nan was here to watch my debut. I kept walking around the pitch with Leah having small talk every now and then but most of the time it's a comfortable silence. At one point I went over to the fans behind the goal and signed loads of things and had pictures with some aswell. I looked around and saw a little girl with a sign reading 'not all hero's wear capes, mine wears 15 GE15❤️'. I thought it was so cute so I managed to get her in-front of everyone and signed her sign and got a picture with her which her mum took. "Do you want my shirt" I asked kind of shouting so she could hear me. She nodded her smile so bright. I took off my shirt and signed it for her, then I heard Leah climb over the barrier and put her coat around me. "Put this on." She said as she helped me put it on. "Thank you." I said quietly. I knew people were recording and I knew this was definitely going to be all over social media later, But truthfully. I don't care. I think the media is going to be seeing a lot of me and Leah and I can already tell there is going to be a lot of rumours about us. Me and Leah stayed signing and taking pictures with the fans until we got told we needed to inside. We was definitely the last ones out with the fans and definitely missed the team talk but oh well, I enjoy taking time with the fans and especially with Leah so it was a win win.

As we got into the changing rooms there was loads of chatter and light music. It was great vibes between everyone. I walked over to my place and just soaked in the moment. This is it, this is my family, the family I have chosen and I had no regrets whatsoever. A few minutes later we got our phones back and the only thing I checked on my phone was texts I didn't really bother with social media that can wait till when I get home. I saw I had a text from the family chat from my brother sister and dad.

I sent the text and put my phone away. I looked around and noticed some showers were finally free so I got up and went and took a shower. After the shower I got changed into the arsenal tracksuit and did some interviews. When I was about to leave I saw Rosa and Leah. They must have just finished some interviews aswell. I made my way over to them and we got on the bus together sitting me next to the window with Leah by my side and Beth opposite me and Viv next to her. Again it was only a short drive back to the training grounds but it was still around 45 minutes which was enough time for me to fall asleep and that's the same for a few girls.

Sorry I haven't posted in ages I know it say it a lot but I'm posting more now but football is getting a lot busier recently so I'm just adjusting to doing more training sessions a week and more games aswell as having some injures and school. But I will be trying to post ATLEAST once a week if not more but look out for posts Monday Thursday and Sunday. (Also get Jonas out my club tf)
