chap. 14

ISABELLA

I was woken up from my slumber by multiple knocks on my door , removing the thick blanket off of my body I made my way towards the door clumsily almost falling in the process as I rubbed my eyes trying to remove the sleep off them .

Opening the door I was met with aurora standing in her glory as I have to crane my neck up to look at her flawless skin . As she gives me a little smile making my lips turn up into a smile as well .

" Looks like you slept well " aurora said looking down at me and I just recognised my state of unruly and tangled hairs as I ran my fingers through them to straighten them .

" Yeah I didn't realise how long I slept in . I guess I was really tired indeed " I said giving her a small smile as moved aside from the door to give her space to enter inside the room .

" That's alright . Anyways dinner will start shortly so you could freshen up and come downstairs . " With that she left . Making me feel warm at her gesture I mean there are lots of maids there she could've sent any one of them to inform me but the fact that she chose to herself come and tell me made my heart swell .

I quickly went to freshen up and set my hair I left the room meeting Emilia in the hallway and went downstairs.

The two bulky men who look twice my size bow their heads towards us and open the large doors leading us to the huge room with a long very long table covered with velvet carpet filled with varieties of dishes . Surrounded by chairs on either side and few occupied with few people that I know and some I don't .

I take in everyone dressed elegantly as it's a huge party or some sort of event as I look down at my cardigan my favourite is it screams fall paired with some leggings which I love but at the moment It definitely doesn't look quite appropriate . I pull on lia's sleeves as she bends a little towards me .

" Why didn't you tell me I had to dress up !! " I whisper yelled in her ears making a face indicating towards my attire and everyone else's .

" You don't need to . My family is just extravagant " she said rolling her eyes making me scoff .  I looked towards the table only to lock gaze with Leonardo who's sitting at the end of the table as he gives me a once over look making me shift in the intensity of his gaze as he's eyes travel through my body making me suddenly so hot under his eyes . My thoughts break as the small body comes into my hugging my legs as I look at gio hugging my leg .

" Bellaaa !! " He says excitedly making me gush as I bent down to collect him in my arms holding him into my hips with his little arms circling around my neck .

" I missed you little munchkin " I say to him as I squeeze his cheeks and give him a peck and he gives me his wide smile while giggling .

" I mwissed you too " he said in his baby voice making me smile widely at him as my heart warms at the adorable child in my arms .

Making our way towards the table I dropped gio onto my side as he insisted onto being with me and Emilia on my other side . I got to know a few people  like the brown haired guy- Gabriel , dressed in a shirt which gives the peak of his athlete body and toned six pack abs giving a cool vibe as he seems younger around our age . Then there's Oliver who seems quite closed off and deadly with his huge muscular body he looks like the guy you shouldn't mess with especially with his deadly look .

Then there's a man who's sitting on the head of the table who looks at an older version of Leonardo making me think of him as their father . He's too good looking for his age , his built physique and toned muscles could easily fool you the few grey strands of his hairs might give you a hint towards his aging .
