chap. 7

ISABELLA

I was going to be late if Emilia didn't come to my apartment to pick me up so I could make it to college on time she's my saviour.

And the rest of the day goes in a blink with attending dreadful lectures to having lunch with lia and I couldn't hang out with her more as today my shift was a bit early as Carol had to go off today early.

I couldn't get one thought out of my thought of meeting him itself made me anticipate at the same time it made my palms sweat out of nervousness . Ignoring these thoughts I started doing my work .

Time passed by so fast that I didn't even realise when it was 9 15 already . And there's no sign of him maybe he's just running late . 

I cleaned everything and got my bag and closed the cafe as I stood out the cold wind hit me making me quiver back rubbing my arms around myself .

I brought my wrist up looking at the watch it was 10 o'clock maybe he won't come . I walked towards home being upset and disappointed as he didn't show up .

As I was walking down the lane it was really dark as it was pretty late as I passed a group of rookie guys which were standing looked at me up and down which made me skin crawl in disgust as I scrunched my nose as the smell of ciggerate hit me making me nauseous .

I increased my pace scared for my life as I didn't notice until I bumped into someone I looked up as the familiar Cologne hit me Leonardo . My arms on his chest as his arm is wrapped around me making me steady .

" Breathe bella breath " he said in his husky voice the way he said to me bella gave me butterflies he just gave me a nickname .

Making me realise I was literally pouring my lungs out . I took deep breaths and finally calmed down. 

" Why are you walking on this street this late , it's dangerous " he said releasing me from his grip but staying close . I looked back to find no one there making me sign in relief.

" I was um...waiting for you " I said looking up at him through my lashes .

" I'm sorry I got caught up with work " he said sincerely making me believe him .

" It's alright " I say giving him an understanding smile.

" Did you had dinner yet ? " He asked with his usual cold face as I shook my head .

He then usured me towards his car as he opened the door for me followed by settling himself on the driving seat .

The ride was silent as we stopped at a very fancy looking Italian restaurant as he opened the door for me as he held a hand out and I slid my hands in his hands that looked so small in his big ones .

My eyes wandered around admiring the luxurious yet classy interior with an off white and brown theme going with a slow music in the background . I look up to see Leo already looking at me he surely thinks I'm so weird with the way I'm looking around .

" I'm sorry , I've just been mesmerized by the whole place . I've never been to a restaurant like this " I say . He just looks at me with some kind of emotion in him that cannot be defined and nods .

A receptionist came and she was wearing a skirt too short for my liking with a shirt which didn't leave much for imagination .

" Hello sir , let me take you to your table " she said batting her eyelashes at him . As she led the way swaying her hips Leo kept his hand on my back guiding me .

We sat on a table with dim light and across the glass wall I could see the city . Shortly the chef came and greeted us and took our orders and then left us alone .

" Tell me about yourself !? " He asked looking at me intently.

" Um there's really nothing much interesting about me I'm a boring person....my day's pretty usual going to college then work then going back home "  I tell him my boring routine .

" Mhm..you seem close with Emilia . " He asks as he leans back making me dart my eyes towards his chest which are hidden behind the black shirt with few buttons open I can see the tattoos that sprawled on his body .

" Yes she's my best friend and the only friend I have . She's always there for me and I love her for that . Well sometimes I do think she could have better friends then me like you know she's confident , beautiful in every way and I'm just me . " I say looking down at my hands fiddling with them .

In a sudden motion my hands were in his as I looked at him we locked eyes and he took my hand towards his lips as he kissed my knuckles not breaking the eye contact as the heat rushed to my neck cheeks and my whole body .

" You're the most beautiful girl I've seen bella never say otherwise . solo se sapessi le cose che mi fai amore ." ( Only if you knew the things you do to me love )

He said making me blush more as if I wasn't red already . Well I didn't understand the other half he said in Italian but the way he called me beautiful gosh I'm gonna faint !! .

" I-um thanks " I slowly muttered .

We were disturbed as the food came and which was delicious and had little conversation in between . 

I don't notice how fast the time flew away as we are already near my apartment as he opens the car door for me . As we say goodbyes and part our ways as he waited until I didn't step inside my house then he went . He's just so perfect in all the ways possible .

I cannot stop blushing all night long with his  words still ringing in my head .
