Jesy's POV

'Have a good day sweetheart!' My dad says too cheerily for it only being 7:30

'Bye Dad' I say getting out of the car and walking off to my new school

I hated the idea of moving away from my friends and family but my mom and dad insisted on getting a fresh start.

I walk into reception go to the front desk and wait for the receptionist to at least try her best to acknowledge me

'May I help you?' The receptionist says

'I'm new here my names Jesy Carpenter' I say

'Oh you want your timetable and locker combination' The receptionist says

I fake a smile and start twirling my hair around my finger

The receptionist quickly types something in and then gets up and walks away to the printer

I see two boys one with a curly afro and another with wild straight hair. I look away when they notice me standing by the desk.

'Here you go and the boys that are to show you around are behind you' The Receptionist says passing me my timetable and locker number

I turn around and face the boys with a smile on my face

'You must be Jesy Carpenter' The one with curly hair says with a smile

'Yeah that's me' I say with a small smile

'I'm David and this is Jon' He says introducing them

'Nice to meet you' Jon says

'Let's see your classes' Jon says as I pass him my timetable

'We have all the same classes. How weird is that' Jon says with a chuckle

'You have a couple with me but you'll be with Jon most of the time are you ok with that' David says

'Yeah I'm fine with that' I say

'Let's go then' David says

We walk out of Reception and start heading to our class

'So where'd you move from?' Jon says

'California' I say

'Fancy' David teases making me laugh

'Yeah it's pretty good' I say

'Why'd you move from California. I mean isn't it like a two day car journey' Jon says

'My Mom and Dad insisted on a fresh start so we moved to Jersey' I say

'We got a plane Dad didn't want to waste gas' I say making them chuckle

'I mean yeah from what I've seen of Jersey I like it but I don't think it'll feel like California' I say

'Well that's understandable' David says

'Well this is where I leave you with Jon my class is down the hall' David says

'See you later Jesy' David says as I wave

Him and Jon do this weird hand thing and then David leaves to go his class

'You can sit next to me by the way' Jon says walking into the class

I follow Jon to where he sits and sit down next to him

'Be prepared for a boring History lesson' Jon says

'Don't worry I know how boring History is' I say
