Stepping out into the night air, Keigo is welcomed by a gentle breeze blowing over him and tousling his hair. Four years ago, he'd be able to say the wind ruffled his feathers as well, but that wasn't possible now.

The loss of his quirk took some time to cope with, but ultimately, he'd say it was for the best. That's not to say he doesn't miss his wings, because he does. It's just that most of the time he avoids thinking about it to feel okay. But now...

Why is it he always finds himself thinking about the past when he's here?

Here being the Todoroki estate.

He's been invited over more times than he can count. By Rei, Fuyumi, Shoto, Natsuo—Hell, even Enji sent him an invitation once. He responds in kind every time, accepting the invitation and joining the family for dinner or the like. He practically lived here by now, with the amount of nights he slept over.

It may be a little selfish to admit, but he only ever came over to see one Todoroki. The one that never bothers to send him an invite.

Touya.

Things between them were strange, to say the least. Not uncomfortable, just... strange.

Their relationship was never as straightforward as it should have been. They were supposed to hate each other, from start to finish, as hero and villain—but especially after everything that's happened between them.

Dabi never trusted Hawks, and Hawks never trusted Dabi. They were never supposed to reach this point in time; from start to midway to end, they were never supposed to become any semblance of what they are today.

Dabi and Hawks were never supposed to become friends or get as close as they are now, but they weren't Dabi and Hawks anymore.

They were just Touya and Keigo now. Friends of some kind.

"Is that a grey hair I see?"

At the sudden voice, Keigo's heart gives a start, and he spins around to look behind him.

Con number 1 of not having Fierce Wings: He can't detect people sneaking up on him anymore.

When he doesn't see anyone behind him, he does a little spin to look all around, taking in the surrounding view of the second floor. There was nothing besides the wooden floor stretching out on either side of him, fading into shadows.

"Up here, handsome," he hears again.

Not so startled this time, Keigo is able to accurately follow the voice and tracks its origin to in front of him. He casts his gaze up, surprised when he spots Touya.

His white hair, which has grown out a healthy amount, hangs upside down from the roof along with the rest of him. Blue eyes peer at him from above, still as bright as the day they first met.

Keigo's brows draw together in a frown, and he tilts his head to the side, as if that would help him to better comprehend what he was seeing.

"Touya?" He asks in confusion. "What the hell are you doing up there?"

Touya lets out a little laugh, one that really shouldn't sound as adorable as it does, and his lips spread into a smile. It looks odd from Keigo's point of view.

"I'm stargazing," he admits, and Keigo feels even more confused.

"And you can't do that from down here because...?"

Touya giggles again, and Keigo can feel his stomach doing flip-flops.

"Well, there's a very obvious roof over the second floor," he starts to explain, pointing to said roof he's hanging upside down from. "And I'm not about to break my neck every time I want to see the stars."
