Austin and Ally World Tour ~ Raura

Chapter 8

|TUESDAY 19th MARCH 2024 |

It's been awhile since Ross and Laura have spoken. Things are awkward again especially after Ross' confession of the L word. Laura is still with the other Ross too. She just can't break his heart but yet she is breaking her own heart and Ross' heart. Ross ended up making things official with Indie. Laura met her once during one of their rehearsal sessions last week. She seemed nice.

The boys went to Australia too, they had a great time but since then everyone has been busy with tour rehearsals. The Dates and venues for tour are all planned. Tour is going to be from the 4th April 2024 until the 8th September 2024.

4 months world tour performing a range of Austin and Ally songs and some of their own songs. Consisting of 30 shows.  It's going to be awesome Laura thinks as she enters the boys studio garage door.

"We should practice 'You Can Come To Me' as we haven't sang properly together in like 8 years" Ross suggests as him and Laura sit on the stools in front of the mics.

"Sure sounds good ready?" Laura asks looking round at Rocky and Ryland who give thumbs up.

Ross and Laura finish singing and it's like they've gone back in time to the first time they ever sang it. Laura leans away awkwardly as they've been staring at each other for a few moments in shock.

"That awesome guys it's like we went back in time holy shit! This is gonna be dope!" Ryland exclaims as he cheers and claps his hands.

"Wow" Laura breaths out unsure what to do or say.

"Ugh yeah wow" Ross agrees trying to regain focus and stop staring at her. Last time he sang this song for her during filming the show, was around the time he realised he liked her liked her more than a friend.

But now she has a boyfriend. There is also Indie maybe he should move on. Laura is too scared to be in a relationship with him and doesn't trust him anyway. He tries to prove her wrong but that fails.

"You ok?" Laura asks quietly. It was nice hearing her voice they haven't really spoken in person unless professionally since their conversation last year. They've been busy or that's their excuse. More like pissed off and upset with each other. Also confused and frustrated.

"Yeah just weird being Austin again" Ross lies to Laura, though it was weird being Austin it's been a long time.

"I know it's weird being Ally, but hey you're back to being my onscreen boyfriend or husband I guess so that's cool" She says with a chuckle.

"Really cool, but we're exes in real life?" Ross says with a shrug. Guess now he is experiencing the heart break of their relationship. The break up. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to make their relationship valid.

"How about Ross you sing 'Can you Feel it' and we can start rehearsing the songs as a band again?" Riker questions look over to Ross.

"Sure, is that ok Laura? We should swap and maybe Laura rehearse Parachute next?" Ross says as he looking over to Laura briefly. She shrugs looking back at him. They hold their gaze and he can see the sadness in her eyes too.

"Yeah sounds great! Let's rock!" Riker cheers enthusiastically bringing Ross and Laura back to reality. Laura looks away from him quickly.

A few moments later they have finished 'Heard It On The Radio'. The boys highfive and fist pump at how it sounded and how much progress they are making with this rehearsal. It's been a long tiring morning but fun and productive.

"How about we break for lunch it's almost 1.30?" Rocky questions looking round at the group.

"Yeah sure" Laura agrees placing the lid back on her water bottle.

"Shall we just order pizza, saves us leaving, though I do fancy Starbucks? Riker suggests.

"Yeah can do how about me and Laura grab Starbucks for us all then we're not all leaving?" Rocky suggests. Laura looks at him confused why just them two.

"Um sure" She smiles anyway but glances at Ross who just shrugs his shoulders. He has a feeling Rocky is going to ask her about him and to be honest he kinda want to know what she's thinking especially after singing 'You Can Come to Me'.

"Can you guys get me an espresso frappuccino?'' Ross asks.

"I'll have the same" Riker says without looking up as he's wrapped up in his phone.

"Sure see you guys in a bit" Laura says as her and Rocky head out.

Rocky finally asks the question Laura has been dreading after they've kept up a light conversation. Starbucks is only a short drive away.

"So what's going on with you and Ross. You guys are acting very off with each other today?" Rocky questions.

"Nothing." Laura sighs.

Rocky eyes her curiously and she gives in.

"Fine we nearly kissed a few months ago. We've admitted we were together back in 2022 after his break up with Jaz until I got with Ross. So I guess we're going through a break up ourselves. I also told him we can't be as close and flirty anymore and that I don't trust him and I'm too scared to be in a relationship with him. He told me he loved me, since then we've hardly spoken, your all caught up now" Laura sighs frustratedly.

"Oh shit. Laura that's sucks. Also I'm sorry he's an idiot. So where do you guys stand now? Because honestly it doesn't even look like your friends and I'm pretty sure neither of you want to throw a decade of friendship away especially with the tour" Rocky asks.

"No we don't and where we stand now is giving each other space to make sure our feelings don't get in the way of tour. I'm with Ross and he's with Indie. That's that. That's where we leave it. We're exes and best friends possibly but I don't know" Laura shrugs.

"Ok so you're both trying to move on from each other. Or were you using Ross as a distraction after you got scared to loose my brother? Laura look he loves you and honestly I've never seen him act or be this away about anyone else before. Not even Courtney or Jaz. You're hurting him." Rocky says sighing.

"I know but I'm confused and he's confused. Please can you just order our drinks and we not talk about it anymore?" Laura asks as they pull into the drive thru.

"Sure. But you guys need to get back to normal friendship. We can't mess up this tour. It's going to be awesome but feelings can't get in the way" Rocky sighs. He wishes they weren't so stubborn.

"I know we'll try. I'll fix it. I don't know how but I'll fix the friendship. Like I said I can't and don't want to loose him"
