Chapter 11

|FRIDAY 12th JUNE 2024 - New York City |

Laura smiles as she looks up at the city buildings as the drive through on the tour bus. She loves New York. Honestly she would live in New York if her life wasn't in LA.

"Hey Laur" Ross smiles sitting down on the couch next to her guitar in hand.

"Do you remember when I taught you guitar?" he asks her.

"Yeah why?" Laura asks him smiling at the memory of him teaching her guitar in season 3 in her dressing room. That was the day she realised she liked him. Of course she would remember.

"So I was wondering you want me to re teach you the chords for 'The Me That You Don't See? thought you could maybe sing it acoustically tomorrow night?" he suggests with a shrug.

"Oh yeah sure" Laura says with a smile. Her boyfriend in a Uber on his way to meet Riker and Vanni at shake shack.

The other guys are playing video games in the back of the bus.  

"Do you remember anything from last time?" He questions her

"Umm no don't think so you'll have to reteach me" Laura says with a chuckle.

Ross rolls his eyes at her. Laura grabs the guitar placing the handle round her neck as she holds the guitar resting it in her lap.

"So it's like this a, g then e c." He says strumming the guitar as his arm wraps over her arm holding the guitar.

"Like this?" Laura asks placing her fingers in completely the wrong place.

"No Laur, god it wasn't this difficult last time teaching you" Ross laughs at her failed attempt.

"Oh just help me please" Laura says lightly slapping him on his arm.
Sighing Ross helps hold the guitar and takes Laura's hand in his as he places her fingers on the right strings.

"Like this, then strum like this" Ross says softly as he helps her move her fingers up and down to strum the guitar.

He can't help but smile as he feels her hand in his. It's just feels right.
Fuck what is he doing she has a boyfriend? Who is probably now waiting round the corner at shake shack for his brother and sister in law. Fuck.

"That's right. Much better" he says with a smile as Laura smiles up at him.

"Your a great teacher Ross your so talented" Laura says, Ross stares into her hazel brown eyes.

"You're great too, maybe not guitar but ya know a bit more practice you will be" Ross smiles at her and feels him leaning forward to her. Laura does too.

Their foreheads rest against each other almost as they just taking in this moment.

Ross smiles again as he feels Laura smile.

"We're back!" Riker says happily entering the tour bus.

"Um are we interrupting" Vanni asks.

A upset looking Ross appears from behind her holding a bag of food his carry on case, jacket and flowers.

"Laura?" He questions confused at the sight.

"Ross was um teaching me guitar tomorrow night in the show we're I mean I'm um singing The Me That You Don't See acoustically so um yeah I was just practicing" Laura explains in a ramble.

"Oh ok, come here babe" Ross says opening his arms to her.

He wraps his arms tightly around her waist as hers go round his neck and she leans up to peck his lips passionately before pulling away remembering Ross, Riker and Vanni are watching.

"Ooh, this must be the famous boyfriend!" Rocky says chuckling as the boys have entered from the back of the bus knowing food is here.

"Yes I guess. Ross" Ross says shaking Rocky's hand as he introduces himself.

"Rocky, Ross brother Laura's best friend and guitarist in The Driver Era!"

"Nice to meet you dude" Ross says with a smile.

After a few moments of introductions it's finally Ross turn to introduce himself.

Laura suddenly panics as Ross walks towards Ross H.
This can't be good. She hopes they don't make a scene.

The tension fills in the bus as everyone feels the atmosphere shift as Ross walks towards him.

"Hey man I'm Ross, Laura's ex costar, best friend, Austin and also lead singer of The Driver Era nice to finally meet you, Laura's other Ross" he says with a chuckle and small smile as he shakes Ross hand.

"Nice to meet you dude, finally, heard lots about you obviously" Ross H says with a chuckle.

"So you and Laura?" Ross questions

"Yeah we've been good right babe, just been over a year and I've never been happier! She's pretty great" Ross smiles over at Laura as he interwines his hand with hers.

Laura smiles and kisses him on the lips.

"Um food. Did you get my shake Riker?" Ross asks trying to focus on something else other than Laura and her boyfriend. Ross likes him but jealousy isn't a good look on him.

"How about we check into a bottle for tonight and tomorrow?" Ross H asks

"Um sure although there is a spare bunk?" Laura questions

"Think I need more space then a bunk bed and I've missed you and want spend time with you after your show since I'm not in town long and I don't know when I'll next see you, please baby, I've missed you" he says wrapping his arms around Laura's waist from behind and burying his head into her shoulder as he kisses her neck lightly.

"Ugh fine you know I can't rest it when you start kissing me" Laura says with a chuckle.

Letting go of Ross grip she sits down on the couch with her chicken and fries and sees Ross L watching her. He looks away quickly. Laura sighs feeling defeated this is going to be great. She thinks sarcastically as Ross looks upset as he walks to the back of the bus grabbing his guitar on the way.
