I cleaned out a closet today
I found emotions and memories that I had locked inside
I cried as I took them out and felt their pain
After I went through each one
I threw them away and went on with my day
But it wasn't all painful
I found pieces of myself that I thought I had lost
And I put them in the empty parts of my heart
Maybe someday I'll find more pieces
Maybe someday I'll find all the closets and make myself whole
But today, I cleaned out a closet and healed parts of my soul
