Xisuma’s POV:

I was honestly baffled as I watched my brother being carried upstairs by Hels. Wels stood beside me, looking far too satisfied with himself, a smug grin plastered on his face.

“You played matchmaker, didn’t you?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. Wels nodded, his grin widening.

“I did,” he replied, clearly pleased with himself. “They both confessed their feelings for each other, in their own awkward way, to me earlier. It was kind of hard not to notice...”

I blinked, trying to wrap my head around the situation. "Wait, so... he's not sick?"

Wels chuckled softly, shaking his head. “No, your brother isn’t sick. He’s lovesick, but definitely not ill. I assume he’s never felt like that before, so he didn’t know what to make of it. Classic case of not understanding his own feelings.”

The realization hit me, and suddenly everything made sense—the way Xavier had been acting lately, distant and a little out of it. It wasn’t physical illness, just emotional confusion.

“Ah, yeah,” I muttered, nodding as I processed it. “That’ll do it...”

Wels chuckled at my confusion, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall. “You know,” he began, a playful glint in his eyes, “it’s almost as bad as you and Keralis… or you and Doc.”

I blinked at him, completely lost. “What are you getting at?”

“They both flirt with you in their own dorky little ways," he said with a grin. "One of them being a lot more persistent.”

I just stared at him, trying to process what he was saying. “Wait... Keralis flirts with me?”

Wels laughed, clearly amused at my obliviousness. “Oh yeah, all the time. I’m surprised you haven’t noticed. He’s pretty obvious.”

I frowned, waving my hand dismissively. “That’s just... playful flirting, isn’t it? Nothing serious. Besides, Doc has his own boyfriend.”

Wels shook his head, still smiling. “You really don’t see it, do you?”

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. I never really thought anyone would have feelings for me like that. It all seemed like harmless banter, just part of the fun.

I gave Wels an even more confused look, my brain still trying to wrap around the idea. He let out an amused huff, shaking his head like I was missing something obvious.

“Xisuma, come on,” he said, exasperation mingling with amusement. “You really can’t be that oblivious, can you? So many people flirt with you.”

I shook my head, genuinely baffled. “I don’t think so. I mean, it’s just friendly banter, right? Nothing serious.”

Wels crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at me, clearly not buying it. “You really don’t see it, do you? People aren’t just being friendly—they’re flirting with you.”

I opened my mouth to protest, but the words just wouldn’t come. Could Wels be right? Was I really that oblivious to the signals people were giving me? I had always assumed everyone was just being playful, that it was all harmless fun. The idea that someone might actually have feelings for me hadn’t even crossed my mind.

I didn’t want to make people uncomfortable, so I always played along. But now... I made my way over to a nearby seat and sat down, still trying to wrap my head around what Wels had just said. Was it true, or was he just messing with me?

I glanced over at him. He was smiling knowingly, arms crossed like he had just revealed some great secret. It was unnerving, and I couldn't help but feel like I had missed something important this whole time.
