As the car started, Jimin did not say much, nor did Yurim. Taehyung and Jungkook maintained the same silence as them sitting behind. The silence was not of awkwardness but of anger and disappointment.
Jimin dropped Taehyung and Jungkook to the office and drove on the way to Yurim's apartment since it was her half day.
"May I ask, why are you so angry at me?" Jimin interrogated, gripping tightly on the wheel as his eyes stayed on the road.
"You don't know? Did I ask you to show up on my date with my boyfriend?" She asked back, looking at him with fury.
"Why didn't you tell me you're going to meet that jerk?"
She sighed, "You were busy."
"You could've texted me or called me!" He yelled, looking at her with his brows knitted together.
Her eyes went to his hands as he gripped on the wheel so tightly that his veins were visible. "Look at the road." She ordered, noticing him gazing at her fiercely.
He turned his gaze at the road. "You're still new here; what if he had asked you to go somewhere else you aren't aware of?"
"Oh, c'mon, stop treating me like I'm a kid." She crossed her arms, rolling her eyes angrily. "Also, he's my boyfriend, and I trust him."
Jimin pulled the break, suddenly making her gasp as she leaned forward. She shot him a glance, but he was already looking fierce, so she waited for him to say his words first.
"Do you even know what kind of guy he is?"
"I don't want a character certificate of my boyfriend from you, Jimin."
"Boyfriend?" He scoffed with a wicked chuckle as he stared at her in disbelief. "How many times I've told you, he's not how you see him. Even today, when he excused himself to go to the washroom, he was flirting with the waitress. "
"I know you don't like him, but stop accusing him." Yurim stammered.
Jimin remained silent, understanding she was too busy to fight him now that she would not believe any of his words now.
"Neither do you have the right to say what I should do in my life." She remarked, looking ahead of the car, and noticed it was the parking of her apartment.
"Of course, I don't." He sarcastically said.
"Stop middling in my life, I don't stop you when you flirt or hang out with girls," Yurim explained. "So, stop interfering in my dating life."
Jimin stared at her in suprise, then sighed looking away. He was losing his mind and he knew he would definitely say something wrong if he continue the conversation now.
"Go." He said, trying to cool himself down.
Yurim furiously opened the door of the car and grabbed her bag before she slammed the car door showing that she was angry on him.
"You should slam your boyfriend's head not the door of my car." He yelled, eyeing her as she walked to the elevator.
She glanced over her shoulder for a second before looking back ahead and going in the elevator.
Jimin waited until the elevator door closed, then he drove away to his office since it was not a half day for him. Even though, he was less focused on his activities in the office but he could not take a leave.
___
Next morning, Jimin aggressively parked his car in the parking zone of their company. He was furious with his best friend more than he was yesterday when he dropped her off at her apartment.
He rushed inside the building but did not bother to go to the studio or practice room. Neither did he greet his members in the morning. He had some important work to do before anything today; with this thought in mind, Jimin took the elevator to the floor where Yurim practically worked.
He stormed in the room without caring that people were looking weirdly at him. Everybody knew that he was best friends with Yurim, but he looked fierce, which made everyone shocked. His eyes stayed on Yurim, who had a surprised look on her face as she gazed at him with fury. He approached her desk and took a look around before he leaned closer to her.
"Come with me." He ordered.
She gave him a look before looking down at the notebook she was writing something on.
Jimin sighed before he grasped on her wrist, pulling her on her feet as she threw a glare at him with wide eyes. He paid no attention to her nor to the people in the room as he dragged her out of the room.
"Jimin, what are you doing? It's our workplace." Yurim said, walking with him but trying to get his hands away from her wrist, which was next to impossible.
He did not say much until he entered a room with her. He let go of her hand as he locked the door from inside. He turned around to see her angrily looking at him, with her hands crossed over her chest, eyebrows squeezed.
"Why did you come to the to office before I went to pick you up?" He questioned, advancing his steps at her. His eyes stared into her souls as they remained emotionless. Even after their fight in the car yesterday, he went to pick her up to her apartment, but she left without even telling him. As if she was stubborn to sort things out.
"I don't want you to interfere in my life." She said it a little louder than regular voice. Her voice echoed in the empty practice room.
He stood on the nearest spot to her. "You even didn't answer my calls last night! What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing is wrong with me." Yurim yelled, maintaining eye contact with him. "You have to learn how to stay away from my personal life."
He chuckled, taking a step closer that her hands dropped to her side as he went closer until her back touched the wall. She looked a little frightened but kept up the conversation through her eyes, her chin up looking at his eyes directly.
"Break up with him." He said, his front pressing her against the wall as their bodies were too close for best friends.
"Why should I?" She scoffed, "You know, you are being ridiculous."
"I'm not being ridiculous."
"Yes, you are!" She remarked. His expression changed from calming to angry. "You are neither my brother nor my boyfriend to have control over me. Just focus on your life."
"You mean I'm bothering you?" He scoffed, with a disbelieving look.
"Yes, even right now you are crossing the limits." Yurim stated, pointing at the closeness between their bodies. "You should maintain the distance; just because we're good friends, that doesn't mean you have control over my life. I can date anyone in the world, and you don't have the right to stop me."
He listened to her words silently. "Good, I won't be interfering in your life anymore. Date whomever the fuck you want, but you can't come to me if anything happens to you."
"I don't go to you; you interfere on your own."
"Well, I won't anymore. Enjoy!" He sarcastically said, before stepping away from her as she relaxed yet fuming.
Jimin turned around and walked on his way out of the room without sparing her a look. At this point, he was sure that she did not want to sort out the problem between them. He would to as well if she did not comply with him.
That day, Yurim did not even go to have the lunch in the same canteen as Bangtan and had the lunch in the staff's canteen. She did not even come to their practice room like any other day. Jimin did not go to check on her in person as well, but he did send Jungkook to check on her to see if she had eaten or not. That day, neither of them texted each other as well. The next few days the cold war remained as none of them initiated any conversation with each other in office, not virtually either. Yurim came to the office taking a cab and returned in the same medium since Jimin did not offer her a lift, not like she was eager for him to do so.
Jimin did not go to her apartment at night for dinner, and even in the office he did not talk to her, maintaining the grumpiness.
