"Church?" Issei repeated, scratching his head. "Oh, I can help you with that! It's not too far from here." He said pointing at the outside of the town where an old church could be seen
As they walked, Issei couldn't help but glance sideways at her mesmerized by her long blond hair and emerald eyes and figure, making him blush but quickly hidden it
"So, what brings you to this part of town?" Issei asked, trying to make conversation. "You don't seem to be from Japan"
"Yes," She replied. "My name is Asia Argento I come from Italy. I just arrived to help at the Church. It's been a bit overwhelming, but I'm excited to be here and happy that I encountered a kind person like you to help me." She paused, looking up at him.
"Anytime! Just looking out for a fellow," he said with a grin thou his was still blushing.
But as they continued down the street the moment was abruptly interrupted by the sound of muffled sniffling. Issei turned to see a young boy sitting on the sidewalk, his Knee scrunched up in pain as he cradled a bruised knee.
Asia, without waiting, approached the boy with a soft smile as she knees at his side. "Are you okay" she spoke softly as she inspected the boy's injury.
The boy sniffed as he turned to see Asia. "We were playing, and I fell it hurts...." The boy said between sniffles
"Let me help," Asia said softly as two rings appeared on her fingers and placed her hand on the injury as her hands started to glow in a soft green light heling the boy's knee almost instantly.
"Wow! It doesn't hurt anymore!" Boy exclaimed, jumping to his feet. "Thank you, miss!" He said before racing off to continue playing
Issei stared in shock with his mouth agape as he felt a weird sensation on his left arm. "Those she has a sacred gear like me?" he thought as Asia stood up and looked at Issei confused.
"Is everything alright Issei?" She asked innocently.
Issei shook his head. "Yes, I'm all right" He said smiling "Just surprised, since when can you do that?" he asked as they continued to walk
Asia thought for a moment. "It's a special ability I have since I was born." She said but Issei was able to notice that there was a bit of sadness behind her words.
"That's... amazing," was all that he managed to say.
Issei's discomfort grew as they approached the church, he could feel that with every step he took to the holy building the feeling of unease twisted like a knot in his stomach. "What's happening to me?" he thought as
"Are you okay, Issei?" Asia asked with concern noticing Issei uncomfortable look.
"Uh, yeah! Totally!" he replied too quickly, forcing a smile. But his heart raced, and he found himself glancing nervously at the Church. "Uh, Asia?" he said, stopping in his tracks. "Maybe you should go ahead without me. I have to go to school and its getting late, Ill see you around."
Asia frowned slightly, looking confused. "But we're almost there."
"I know, but... I really think you'll be fine on your own. You can find it from here, right?" His voice was shaky, almost pleading.
Asia looked at him for a moment, her eyes searching for his, and then she nodded slowly. "Okay, if you're sure."
"Yeah! Totally!" Issei replied as his heart was pounding with even more force.
"Thank you for helping me today, Issei. I'll see you around?" Asia said, giving him a warm smile.
"Of course!" he called out, waving goodbye as she turned and walked away.
