**Rignley’s Point of View**
*Blag* *Blag*
Hein!! I swear I’m gonna kick this goddamn door if you don’t open it!!
I gritted my teeth, banging on the hardwood door, yelling at my best friend.
I’ve been waiting for her for almost an hour because I want to make sure she’s fully awake.
Sometimes, she’s such a lazy ass, and now she’s really pissing me off by making me wait.
By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Rignley Bustamante. 21 years old.
“Hey, what’s happening out here?” my best friend asked.
Speak of the devil.
Hein Den Perkinston—now fully awake.
Wait...
“What the heck are you doing out there?” I asked angrily, pointing at her.
“As you can see, I’m preparing our breakfast,” she replied matter-of-factly, wearing a bored expression.
“Ehh? Seriously? Why didn’t you wake me up?” I stared at her in confusion.
“You sleep and snore like a duck,” she answered, as if she could read my mind.
W-what the hell?
Is she a mind reader?
Heck!
A mind reader?!
No way! But before I could say anything—
“No, I can just see it on your ugly face,” she said, leaving me standing there, dumbfounded.
What the hell did she say?
Ugly face!? Shit!!
That woman!!
“HEIN DEN PERKINSTON!!”
I shouted her full name to make her realize I was absolutely furious.
“Yea?” she responded with the same bored expression.
“How am I supposed to be ugly? Hah! You’re kidding, right?” I asked, unfazed.
“Should I be?” she replied.
Is she for real?
No way!!
She’s my best friend! For God’s sake!
“Cut the drama, Ley. We don’t want to be late for school,” she said.
“Hmp! Whatever.” I rolled my eyes at her.
She really loves going to school, unlike me—I prefer going to malls to shop and have fun.
But anyway, that was before I met her. She’s totally into academics.
Yeah, like a walking encyclopedia. I chuckled at the thought.
She’s been a good influence on me. Maybe that’s why my parents want her around at home.
*Uhhummp*
I heard a fake cough. I looked over at her.
“Earth to Ley? Are you zoning out to planet Yekok again?” she said in a monotone, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I twitched at her comment.
“Psh! Whatever. Come on, we’ll be late,” I said.
Today’s our first day of school as graduating students.
