I wake up to the sound of random grunting coming from Clancy's room. I jump up out of bed and quickly run over to his room. I barge into his room, finding him on the floor. He's shaking and covered in sweat. Shit. I think he's having a sleep paralysis moment. I swiftly walk over and place my hand on his shoulder gently. I don't want to scare him off or hurt him. He jolts awake to my touch and is breathing heavily. I remove my hand from his shoulder and take a tiny step back. I give him space to catch up with himself. He shakily stands up slowly, slightly stumbling. "Clancy," I start off soft and quiet. He turns and looks at me. Scars. He has scars on his face. It must've been from the fall. "Are you okay? You fell on the ground and it sounded pretty rough." I finish. He groans again. "Yeah, I think so." He says, his voice very rough. He rubs his head. "I also think you cut yourself somehow on your face going down." His eyes widen and he quickly touches his face. He looks at me through the mirror. "Y-yeah I guess so. Weird they aren't bleeding though," He says, his voice thick with emotion. "Yeah, that kind of is weird. I'm just glad you're okay. At least for the most part." I smile. He shakes his head and asks a question. "What time is it?" "6 am," I reply. He blinks at me, refusing to believe I'm telling the truth. "Oh," He says as his only response. "Do...you not believe me? Do you think I'm lying?" I laugh a little, asking him. "Huh?" He asks, coming back into reality. "No, no. I was just surprised I actually did fall asleep tonight. I usually don't." I look at him and raise an eyebrow. He usually doesn't fall asleep? That's weird. Clancy wipes the tiredness off his face and puts his mask back on. I personally love his mask. Will I ever tell him that? No. I find it cute. It's like it has little cat ears at the top. He does give off cat energy for sure. Hehe, Clancy cat ears. I love him. Wait...what did I just say..? I shake off the thoughts that just ran through my mind and turn my focus back onto helping Clancy. "You hungry? I'm down to making us some breakfast." I ask him. He nods and quickly walks out the door, without another word. I don't what that means but I just go with it.

Clancy sits down on the couch and flips the TV on. The news comes on. He groans at the sight of the fake anchors on the screen. "Gooood morning Dema! Today is ****! The forecast is predicted to be rain. Unexpected, right?" The woman says, with such a heavy fake tone in her voice. "I hate this city. Everyone is no one except a bunch of fake people." He says. Even though Clancy hates the news, I catch him still staring at the screen. "Our well-known escapee, Clancy, is still on the loose. Please let any authorities know of his spotting and we will take care of him immediately." I gasped as the last statement was said. "Clancy, are you going to be okay here? You know I wouldn't turn you in right?" I ask, nervously. He slowly turns his face towards me. "I would hope so. I just spent the entire day and night with you," He pauses and I blush slightly. "Wait, not like t-that" He stutters. Clancy adjusts his mask nervously and clears his throat as he looks away. The news resumes, "Once Clancy is captured, Dema will finally be free from harm. Isn't that right, Carl?" The anchorwoman asks. Just then, Clancy turns the TV off. "I'm done watching the news," He says in a dark tone and stands up. He walks back to his room, closing the door all the way shut.
