"I have a boyfriend"
Namjoons head lifted at the sweet honeyed voice from behind him. Jeong-ah, a new transfer to the university had her back to him. He could tell from her body language she was uncomfortable. That didn't surprise him. The male she was speaking to was one known for his reputation with the women of this school, even if he had a girlfriend.
"Oh come on" Minhyuk tried. "He doesn't have to know. It'll be fun, our little secret" he reached out to touch her but Jeong-ah stepped back.
"The answer is no, in fact it'll always be no" she swatted his hand away and turned to leave but Minhyuk had grabbed her arm, trying to pull her back. Namjoon stood without thinking, making his way towards the duo. Without much thought he grabbed Minhyuks wrist.
"She said no"
There was a moment where Namjoon didn't know what compelled him to do this. Usually he had his nose in his books, nothing could pull him from his studies yet somehow this girl did, had been since she transferred in. As he and Minhyuk stared at each other he felt a hand come on his shoulder and his little brothers voice sounded beside him.
"We got a problem Park?"
"Nope, no problem at all" Minhyuk spoke, his teeth practically grinding together. "We're good" he released the girl, causing Namjoon to release him and he walked away, looking back with a scoff at the two Kim's. It was better for him not to start anything with the youngest Kim there, he knew enough that he'd be bested if it were one on one.
"Thank you" Jeong-ah smiled up at Namjoon before shifting her gaze to Taehyung and thanking him too.
"Uh yeah..." Namjoon felt his cheeks growing pink and a sense of shyness overwhelming him. "It's uhhh...no problem."
