It was dark, damp and cold.
The rain had just stopped moments prior and he was stuck with the after smell. It wasn't pleasant. It would have been if he were out in nature, the damp soil, leaves dripping from the fresh rain fall. Instead he was here, lost and alone.
Phone dead, no money.
His cousin at home was probably freaking out by now.
Returning from a late night study session at university he had fallen asleep on the bus home. In doing so he missed his stop. When he came to it was too late, he panicked and exited not knowing where he was until the bus was already driving away. A place he had been warned numerous times to stay away from.
He could remember it well, his elder cousin Jin berating the words into his head on a number of occasions.
'Kookie, you stay away from Rapax Way. Nothing good comes from there.'
Nodding his head at the time, believing he'd never venture there. Now here he was. He could only hope that his cousin was out looking for him. Hopefully he'd find him soon.
The buildings were tall, dark and imposing. The alleys even more so. His footsteps echoed around the streets as he walked. Not many were out, thank the goddess for that too. He was an unmated omega, a prime candidate for the types that run these streets.
He had heard stories many times from his classmates of what happened in Rapax. Now that he was here a shudder ran down his spine, he pulled his sweater tighter around his body and kept his head down as he walked forward. Hoping to make it out of this part of the city quickly before being noticed.
Thankfully he had taken his herbal tea that morning that would subdue his pheromones and scent. The tea would last a couple of days but most would know what he was by one look at him.
