Hold On

I wanted to write this song au, I was actually inspired by another Author. SO thank you. This is set in RTTE, well during RTTE. They are already a couple.

This is Hold on. 

Loving and fighting, accusing, denying

Hiccup was fighting with Astrid. Unsure why she was so mad. Astrid packed her things and left the their hut ( Hiccup's Hut). 

I can't imagine a world with you gone
The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of

Astrid lives in back at her hut.  Hiccup wishes they hadn't fought.

I'd be so lost if you left me alone

Hiccup took in all the courage to visit her. He opened the door to Astrid's Hut. No One was there. He looked everywhere, eventually went to check the bathroom.

You locked yourself in the bathroom
Lying on the floor when I break through

Here Astrid lies on the floor, covered in blood. In her hand, was a knife soaked in blood.

I pull you in to feel your heartbeat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me 

Hiccup starts crying, gripping hold of her.

Hold on, I still want you                                                                                                                                            Come back, I still need you

Let me take your hand, I'll make it right

Hiccup lifts Astrid up bridal style and brings her onto Toothless.  He got on and covered her stab ( Still with a knife in it) wound.

Long endless highway, you're silent beside me
Driving a nightmare I can't escape from

His eyes were in tears, he should of been the one who was stabbed. He should feel the pain. 

Helplessly praying, the light isn't fading

Hiding the shock and the chill in my bones

"You can break my soul, Take my heart away, Beat me, Hurt me, Kill Me, But for the Love of Thor, Please don't touch her!" He thought as he rode silently in the pitch blackness of the night.

They took you away on a table 

Hiccup jumped off Toothless and grabbed Astrid Bridal style and ran into Gothi's Hut. Gothi told Him to go outside whilst she was working on Astrid. 

I pace back and forth as you lay still

"You can come back in." Gothi drew in the sand. Hiccup ran in.

They pull you in to feel your heartbeat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me 

"PLEASE! Please. Don't. Leave... Me." He shouted, as he started sobbing , holding her in his arms.

Let me take your hand, I'll make it right

Hiccup held her hand and kissed it very passionately. He kept her hand at his cheek, crying silently.

Hold on, I still need youI don't wanna let go

"Hiccup, she is not gonna survive." Gobber replied, sadly. Hiccup froze. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SHE IS GONNA SURVIVE. SHE IS THE STRONGEST PERSON I KNOW-!" Hiccup broke down sobbing.

I know I'm not that strong
I just wanna hear you
Saying, "Baby, let's go home"

"Milady, Please wake up. I'm begging you. I just wanna hear you say 'Babe, lets go home.' Please make that true for me. I'm begging you.." Hiccup quietly said, his eyes bloodshot.

"Babe...?" Astrid croaked out as Hiccup started crying happily. He nodded frantically as he gave her a long, passionate kiss on the lips.

Let's go home
Yeah, I just wanna take you home

"Babe, Can we go back home?"  Hiccup nodded quickly. Giving her a long, tight hug.  He picked her up and placed her on the bed. He picked up a blanket, placing it on top of her.  He was about to leave the room till Astrid took hold of his hand.

Hold on, I still want you

"Babe, can you be with me.. when I'm sleeping." Astrid quietly asked. Hiccup nodded, getting into the bed.

Come back, I still need you

Hiccup held her against her chest as she placed her head just below her chin.  

This is where they need to be.. Forever.
