Felix POV-
Felix sat at his desk, the dim light of his lamp illuminating the pages of the Death Note before him. The weight of the decision he had made pressed heavily on his shoulders. He understood the consequences of possessing such a powerful tool, and the fear of being discovered gnawed at him constantly. He needed to find a way to hide it, to ensure that if anyone stumbled upon it, it would remain undiscovered.
After much contemplation, Felix recalled the ingenious methods he had seen in stories, particularly the way Light Yagami cleverly concealed the Death Note. He knew he had to replicate a similar method to ensure his secret was safe.
Felix decided to create a hidden compartment within his desk. He rummaged through his supplies, finding an old drawer that could serve as the perfect disguise. It looked completely ordinary from the outside, blending seamlessly with the other drawers. Felix took care to ensure that the drawer appeared locked, a crucial part of his plan to deter any prying eyes.
With a sense of determination, he set about crafting the locking mechanism. Felix spent hours tinkering with various materials—old pieces of metal, rubber bands, and bits of wood. He fashioned a simple yet effective system that would trigger a series of events if anyone attempted to force the drawer open. The mechanism would be his safeguard against accidental discovery.
Felix found an old ballpoint pen that would serve as the heart of his contraption. He modified the pen so that it could trigger the locking system. When the drawer was closed, the pen held a small piece of paper in place, acting as a temporary barrier that would prevent the drawer from opening easily.
On a tiny piece of paper, Felix wrote a note that was essential for his locking mechanism. The note read, "Do not open. Dangerous contents inside." It was a simple message, but he hoped it would be enough to deter anyone from attempting to pry into his affairs.
The most critical aspect of Felix's plan was the ignition system he would rig inside the drawer. He knew that if anyone were to discover the Death Note, it had to be destroyed before they could read it or use it. Felix carefully assembled a small incendiary device using items he had lying around the house.
Felix used a tiny firecracker and some other materials that could ignite quickly. He positioned this device within the drawer, ensuring that it was hidden from view but would be triggered if the locking mechanism was disturbed. The idea was simple: if someone attempted to force open the drawer, the pressure would dislodge the pen, release the note, and trigger the ignition system, causing a small explosion that would destroy the Death Note in a flash.
With the mechanism in place, Felix felt a sense of accomplishment wash over him. He carefully placed the Death Note into the drawer, securing it in the false bottom he had created. The drawer closed smoothly, looking as though it had never been tampered with. He took a step back, admiring his handiwork.
Before feeling completely secure, Felix decided to test the mechanism. He held his breath as he forced the drawer open. The pen slipped out of place, releasing the note. Almost instantly, the ignition system sparked, and the firecracker exploded in a small, controlled burst of flame.
Felix jumped back, heart racing as the explosion sent a plume of smoke into the air. He had successfully created a foolproof system to hide the Death Note, one that would protect him from anyone who might come looking.
Days turned into weeks, and life at college continued for Felix. He went to classes, studied, and even spent time with Minho. Yet, the anxiety of possessing the Death Note never left him. Every time he returned to his dorm, he felt a mix of dread and responsibility.
Minho POV-
Minho, ever the protective brother, sensed something was off with Felix. He had always been observant, his instincts sharp. Felix worked hard to maintain the façade of a carefree college student, but the weight of his secret pressed down on him like a heavy cloak.
One evening, as they settled into their small shared dorm after classes, Minho brought up the topic of their safety. "Felix," he said, his tone serious, "you know you can talk to me about anything, right? I'm here to keep you safe."
Felix nodded, forcing a smile. "I know, Minho. I appreciate it. Just... college has been overwhelming, you know? So much to juggle."
Minho studied him for a moment, concern etched on his face. "If you ever feel unsafe, just let me know. I'm always here."
Felix POV-
Felix's heart sank. He couldn't share the truth with Minho—not yet. So he continued to reassure him, reminding himself that keeping the Death Note hidden was the only way to protect them both.
As they went about their evening routine, Felix couldn't shake the feeling that he was walking a tightrope, balancing on the edge of danger with each passing day. But for now, he had successfully concealed the Death Note, and that gave him a semblance of control amidst the chaos.
Each time Felix opened his desk drawer to retrieve his notebooks or study materials, he was reminded of the hidden truth lying within. The Death Note was more than just a powerful tool; it was a weighty responsibility, a double-edged sword. As he navigated through college life, he resolved to use its power wisely, all while keeping the notebook hidden from prying eyes.
In the back of his mind, he knew that with great power came great consequence. And the moment he lost control over the Death Note would be the moment everything unraveled.
Felix took a deep breath, knowing that he had made his choice, and now he had to live with the consequences of that choice. For now, he would focus on his studies, his brother, and the fragile peace he had created in their small corner of the world, always aware that the shadows of the Death Note loomed close behind.
