Hyunjin POV-
"Lee Yongbok Felix," Hyunjin revealed.
The room fell silent, shock etched on Minho and Felix's father's faces. They couldn't believe it, and the disbelief rippled through the others as well.
The room fell silent, shock washing over Minho and Felix's father. Minho's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat. "No way. That can't be true!" he exclaimed, shaking his head in disbelief.
Felix's father looked equally stunned, his brows furrowing as he processed the information. "There must be some mistake. Felix isn't Kira!"
The others exchanged bewildered glances, their expressions mirroring the confusion and disbelief that hung thick in the air. "This can't be right," one of them murmured. "Felix is innocent."
"Nothing is for sure yet, but just in case, we should consider setting up cameras in his room," Hyunjin suggested, his expression serious. "We need to keep a close eye on Felix and gather any information we can."
Minho's eyes widened in alarm. "Cameras? Are you serious? That's an invasion of privacy!"
Felix's father frowned, clearly troubled. "This is my son we're talking about, but we can't just spy on him without his knowledge. It feels wrong."
Jisung shifted uneasily, glancing between Minho and Hyunjin. "I get that we need to be cautious, but do we really have to resort to this? It feels extreme."
Hyunjin held up his hands, trying to calm them. "I understand your concerns, but if Kira is truly Felix, we need to be proactive. We can discuss how to approach this ethically, but we can't ignore the potential danger."
Felix POV-
The tension clung to Felix like a weight as he entered his bedroom. Something felt off the moment he stepped in—a slight shift in the air, a strange stillness. It took only a few moments for him to spot the tiny cameras mounted discreetly around the room, one near his bookshelf, another by his desk, and yet another above his bed.
A flash of irritation crossed his face. Minho must have set this up without his knowledge. "So, they think I'm Kira," he thought, eyes narrowing. He knew he needed to act carefully now. This wasn't just a casual observation; they were watching his every move, waiting for him to slip up. But he wasn't about to give them what they wanted. He'd turn their own plan against them.
He secretly pulled his phone from his pocket and opened a bag of chips, seemingly preparing for a quiet evening in. He wanted to give them a show of normalcy while he moved forward with his plans.
Settling in at his desk, Felix placed his phone inside the almost empty chip bag, keeping the screen tilted towards him while making sure it was barely noticeable to the cameras. He logged into a news site, scrolling through recent stories until he found a list of wanted criminals. His fingers brushed over his hidden notebook, each name in the headlines sparking a dark excitement within him.
He checked over his shoulder once to ensure his expression remained neutral, feigning concentration. To anyone watching, it would appear he was simply studying, his focus deep as he munched on chips and read the news. But his mind was elsewhere, racing with possibilities.
Minutes passed, then hours. The tension in the air grew thicker, and Felix could practically feel the detectives' eyes on him through the cameras. He resisted the urge to smirk, knowing it would only raise suspicions. He wrote down the names of criminals he found on the news, each pen stroke deliberate and steady. His handwriting remained unhurried, his movements calm.
Across town, Minho, Seungmin, Jisung, and the others sat gathered around a monitor, observing Felix's every movement. They watched as he casually scrolled through his phone, occasionally jotting down notes and eating chips. He seemed to be entirely absorbed, and for a moment, the doubt in their minds began to fade.
