Chapter 62: My Dream

Shidou: Come on, now's when the game starts!

Reo passed the ball over to Nagi but was tackled by the demon who pushed through immediately.

*FLICK*

*DRIBBLE*

Just before Shidou completed his tackle, Nagi kicked it over again to Reo. Chigiri and Nishioka ran forward on the wings.

Reo: (They're already pressuring this high up the field. I can't connect with Nagi this way, so we need to wriggle free.)

Otoya entered Reo's range, continuing Barcelona's high press against the midfield.

The chameleon utilized the Cruyff turn and glided past Otoya.

Reo: Nagi, get free downfield! I'll find you.

Nagi nodded and peeled off Shidou who guarded him heavily as they ran towards Barcelona's penalty box.

Bachira, standing in the middle, merely looked at the sight before him.

Bachira: (Again? Really?)

Chigiri dashed around the left center midfielder and left back to reach close to the corner of the field.

Chigiri: Reo! Over here!

Reo scoffed.

Reo: (Like hell, I'll do that. You're just going to get a goal. That won't help Nagi and me in the least.)

Just as he was thinking this however, Haiji and Himizu ambushed him from both sides. The image of Nagi running down the field with Shidou in tow left Reo's eyes. They instead, meticulously lingered on their new addition to the starting lineup.

*BACKHEEL*

Nishioka: Nice.

Reo: (I can't work with Chigiri because he's a solo player. Nishioka is fresh and hungry for recognition. We already agreed that no matter what, he'd help us for our goal.)

With Reo's backheel pass to Nishioka, He spun and leaped over the feet of both Himizu and Haiji.

Nishioka's first touch was beautiful, and he lined up a spectacular lob cross over the midfield and to Reo who had just gotten free.

This was when he scanned upfield to find Nagi.

Nagi: (I'm ready. Send it.)

Since Chigiri handled the left back and the center back that had moved out of position to block the speedster, Nagi took on both Shidou and Hayate.

Reo: (The amount of space Nagi has right now.... is enough!)

*SMASH*

From outside the box and close to the left side of the field, Reo unleashed a long power cross that hovered over the box and down to Nagi's dominant foot. He was inside the box.

The positioning of the ball was also spectacularly placed since it was on Nagi's left. Hayate collided on his right, unable to tackle the ball out of his possession without fouling and handing over a penalty.

Nagi: (Alright, let's go.)

Shidou: Ya seemed scarier in the third selection. Did Kiyo really torpedo your ass, or were ya always a fraud to begin with?

Nagi raised his back leg to flick the ball over his head, but Shidou reacted quicker and cleared the ball away from the genius' grasp. Bachira started a full field sprint while Otoya leaped off the ground at the right field line and headed the displaced ball back to the monster.
