The air between them felt heavy, thick with emotions neither could fully express. As Y/N's tears continued to fall, her chest ached with the weight of all the things left unsaid, the lingering doubts, the love that felt both distant and near at the same time. Jungkook's forehead remained pressed against hers, his breath warm on her skin, and for a moment, it was like the rest of the world fell away. It was just the two of them, standing on the edge of something neither was sure how to navigate.
"I'm sorry," Jungkook whispered, his voice raw, breaking through the silence. His hands moved to cup her face, his thumbs gently brushing away her tears, but more kept falling. "I never wanted to hurt you. I never wanted to push you away."
Y/N swallowed hard, her hands gripping the edge of his forearms. feeling the tension in his muscles. She could see the sincerity in his eyes now, a vulnerability she hadn't seen in so long. And yet, part of her still wondered if it was enough-if it could ever be enough to fix the cracks in their marriage.
Before she could respond, Jungkook's lips were on hers again this time softer, more careful, as though he was trying to communicate something through the kiss that words couldn't. It wasn't the desperate, intense kiss from moments ago. This one was different-gentler, almost pleading.
Y/N hesitated for a heartbeat, but then she gave in, letting herself be pulled under the tide of emotions swirling between them. Her hands found their way to his chest, the warmth of his skin beneath her fingers a stark contrast to the coldness she had felt from him lately. His kiss deepened, his hands sliding down to her waist, pulling her even closer, and before she knew it, her back was pressed against the cool edge of the kitchen counter.
Jungkook's touch was urgent now. but there was an undeniable tenderness in the way his hands
roamed her body, as though he was trying to remind her of the connection they used to have. His lips trailed from her mouth down to her neck, leaving soft, warm kisses along her skin, each one making her heart race a little faster."Jungkook," Y/N whispered, her voice barely audible, a mix of hesitation and longing. She wasn't sure where this was going, or if she was ready for it, but the need to feel close to him-to feel something-was overwhelming.
He lifted his head to meet her eyes, his breath heavy, his gaze searching hers for any sign of doubt. "I love you, Y/N," he whispered again, his hands sliding up her sides, his fingers grazing her skin as he gently pushed up her shirt. "I've always loved you."
There was a part of Y/N that wanted to stop, to pull away and remind him that love alone wasn't enough to fix what was broken. But another part of her--the part that missed him so much it hurt-wanted to believe him, wanted to hold onto this moment and let herself feel the closeness they had lost.
Without saying anything more, she reached for him, pulling him closer her lips finding his once again. This time, the kiss was deeper, more intense, and before she knew it, his hands were on her waist, lifting her onto the counter.
The cool surface of the counter top sent a shiver through her, but it was quickly replaced by the warmth of Jungkook's body pressed against hers. His hands were everywhere- her waist, her thighs, her back-as if he couldn't get enough of her, couldn't hold her close enough. He kissed her deeply, his lips never leaving hers for too long, as though he was afraid to lose the connection they were rebuilding in that moment.
Y/N's hands roamed his bare chest feeling the familiar lines of his muscles, the way his body responded to her touch. It was as if her body remembered how to be with him, even if her heart was still unsure. She let herself get lost in the sensation of him, the way he touched her, kissed her, as though they were the only two people in the world.
