Y/N stood with confidence beside Jungkook’s grandfather, the head of the Jeon family empire, as he addressed the employees gathered in the grand lobby of Jeon Tower. She wore a sleek, powerful suit—a symbol of her unyielding ambition and the meticulous plans she had set in motion. Today marked her first day as a superior within the Jeon business, and she knew that her presence alone was enough to shake the ground beneath Jungkook and his mistress, Hyemi.

"Everyone, thank you for joining us this morning," Mr. Jeon began, his voice resonating through the marble-clad hall. "I am proud to announce a new member of our senior leadership team. My grandson’s wife, Jeon Y/N, will be taking on a pivotal role here at Jeon Tower. She will not only oversee operations across our global properties but will also bring a fresh perspective to the future of this company."

Gasps and murmurs spread through the crowd. Y/N noticed Jungkook standing at the back of the room, his eyes wide with disbelief as he tried to process what he was hearing. She could feel his shock and humiliation, and it fueled her resolve. Hyemi stood nearby, her face tense with barely concealed fury as she looked at Y/N, barely able to contain her jealousy and anger.

With a small smile, Y/N stepped forward and addressed the employees. “Good morning. I’m honored to be here and look forward to working alongside all of you. As Mr. Jeon said, I’ll be overseeing operations, and my goal is to build upon this company’s legacy. I believe in teamwork, integrity, and innovation, and I expect us all to hold ourselves to these standards as we grow together.” Her tone was polished, every word deliberate. She could feel the eyes of the entire room on her, but she was most aware of Jungkook’s gaze, lingering in disbelief.

After her introduction, Mr. Jeon placed a proud hand on her shoulder and continued, “Y/N will have her own private office here on the top floor, and I expect all of you to show her the same respect and loyalty you have always given me.”

Y/N met Jungkook’s gaze, holding it for a fraction longer than necessary, the power dynamic between them shifting like never before. She offered him a cool, calculated smile before turning back to face the employees, signaling that the announcement was over.

As the crowd began to disperse, Jungkook pushed his way through, clearly agitated. Y/N waited, anticipating the storm he would bring. She felt a surge of satisfaction watching him struggle with the knowledge that she now had authority over him, and there was nothing he could do about it.

The moment he reached her, Jungkook's face was a mixture of disbelief and anger. "What is this, Y/N?” he whispered sharply, his voice low and furious. “You really think you can just come in here and—”

“—and take what I rightfully deserve?” Y/N cut him off, keeping her voice calm. She crossed her arms, meeting his gaze head-on. “Yes, I do. Your grandfather entrusted me with this role, and I won’t let anyone—or anything—stand in my way.” Her words were as sharp as knives, and she watched with satisfaction as they visibly stung him.

Jungkook scoffed, trying to regain his composure. “So, what? You think you can just walk in here, play the devoted wife, and get everything handed to you?”

Y/N raised a brow, her smirk growing. “Handed to me? Let’s get one thing straight, Jungkook. I earned this. Your grandfather saw something in me that he didn’t see in you.” She leaned in closer, her tone laced with an icy threat. “And if you can’t handle that, maybe it’s time for you to step aside.”

Jungkook’s fists clenched, his face growing red with anger. “You’re just doing this to humiliate me.”

“If that’s how you feel, then perhaps you should consider why,” she replied coolly. “And for the record, Jungkook, don’t assume for one second that I haven’t noticed your little side project with Hyemi. You can keep running to her to complain about me all you want, but remember—no one holds more power here than I do. And soon enough, that power will extend far beyond this building.”
