The sterile scent of the hospital filled Y/N's senses as she sat in the waiting room, her fingers nervously playing with the edge of her coat. She had been coming to this hospital for months now, hoping, praying, for the news she had been so desperate to hear. But today, the weight on her chest felt heavier. The truth about Jungkook lingered in the back of her mind, creeping into every thought.

He lied to me, she thought, her hands trembling slightly. The memory of that woman sitting on his lap in his office, her laughter, his casual indifference-it all came crashing down.

But even now, a part of her clung to the hope that maybe, just maybe, having a child together could change things. Maybe it could bring him back to her, make him realize what they had and what he stood to lose.

If I could just get pregnant...

She was called into the exam room, her steps slow and heavy. She tried to push all the thoughts of Jungkook and his betrayal to the back of her mind, but they clung to her like shadows. The nurse led her to the familiar bed, where she lay back, the cool gel being spread over her stomach in preparation for the ultrasound.

Her doctor, a woman with kind eyes and a warm smile, began the routine procedure, her eyes focused on the screen. Y/N's heart raced, her mind torn between hope and despair. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to steady her breathing.

"Just relax, Y/N," the doctor said softly, gliding the probe over her abdomen. "Let's see what we've got here today."

The soft hum of the machine filled the room, and for a moment, the tension in Y/N's chest eased. This was what she had been working toward, the one thing that could change everything. If she was pregnant, maybe Jungkook would come back to her, the real Jungkook-the man she had married, not the one who had betrayed her.

Minutes passed in silence as the doctor scanned, her brows furrowing in concentration. Y/N kept her gaze fixed on the ceiling, counting the tiles to keep herself from falling apart.

Then, the doctor spoke, her voice quiet but filled with an underlying sense of excitement.

"Y/N," she said softly, her eyes meeting Y/N's with a slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I have some news for you."

Y/N's heart stuttered, her breath catching in her throat. She hadn't expected to hear anything significant today-after all these months of trying, hope had become a distant, fragile thing. But now, her pulse raced as she gripped the edge of the bed.

"What is it?" Y/N asked, her voice barely above a whisper, as if speaking any louder might shatter the moment.

The doctor's smile grew, a soft, knowing look in her eyes. "You're pregnant."

For a moment, Y/N thought she misheard. Her mind struggled to catch up with the words as they hung in the air. Pregnant. I'm pregnant.

Her heart pounded in her chest, the world tilting around her as a rush of emotions hit her all at once. Relief, joy, disbelief-it all flooded through her, overwhelming her senses.

"I... I'm pregnant?" Y/N whispered, her hand instinctively moving to her stomach. Tears welled in her eyes, but they didn't fall. She couldn't process it. After all the months of trying, after all the heartbreak, she was finally pregnant. It felt like a dream. "Are you sure?"

The doctor nodded, her expression gentle. "Yes. You're about eight weeks along. Everything looks healthy. Congratulations, Y/N. I know how much this means to you."

Y/N's heart almost stopped. Eight weeks. She had been carrying Jungkook's child for two months without even knowing it. All the pain, all the doubt, all the wondering if she would ever be able to have a child-it all melted away in that instant. She was going to be a mother.
