After their conversation in the library Daenerys began noticing a change in Robb whenever he was around her. He began offering to carry things for her, and when they would practice their archery he always offered to get her bow and arrow and would go get her arrows out of the target for her. Another thing that had changed between them was how often the two spent time with one another.

Before, Dany had most spent her time with Sansa and Arya and only spent time with Robb when his siblings were present. But now they found themselves taking walks together in the Godswoods, riding together, and spending more time talking in the library. Their talks let them see how quite similar they actually were. They spoke of history and what that meant for the current day. That had turned into an earnest discussion of oaths and what it meant to rely on someone's word, and at what point suspicion of your supporters was its own abandoning of one's duties as their liege lord. Theon would have laughed at Robb had he uttered any of those thoughts aloud, but Dany took it seriously—took him seriously. They also spoke about lighter subjects such as their days, and what new things they had learned or discovered. Dany found that she enjoyed Robb's company a alot.

When she wrote letters to her niece, Rhaenys, she spoke about her new development with Robb and knew she sounded like a lovesick child, but she couldn't stop the words from spilling out of her. Dany and Rhaenys had often written letters to each other to stay in touch. She was the only one of her kin who truly stayed in touch with her. Rhaegar had written to her a few times when she first arrived ensuring her safe travels and wanting to know how she was being treated in the North. Making sure the alliance was going well and once he was assured, the letters stopped. Viserys and Aegon never wrote to her once, she only heard about them through Rhaenys or others in the North. Viserys and Arianne Martell had apparently already had their first son and Aegon had been wed to Rhaenys in the sept on Baelor. An event so grand and befitting the future king and queen of the seven kingdoms.

Daenerys rarely thought of Dragonstone or the South these days. The North had become her home and she was quite fond of it, even the harsh northern weather. It was where she had met the Starks, connected with the old gods, and it's where she'll raise her children. She can't believe how afraid she had been to come here all those years ago, she felt silly now. As she sat writing her most recent letter to Rhaenys she's interrupted when she hears a knock on her door. She turns around to see who it is and it's none other than her betrothed waiting by her door with a smile.

"Hi Dany, sorry I don't mean to interrupt I just had something to give you," he said as he stood by the door still not entering.

Realizing he wasn't going to step in unless she allowed him to she nodded her head towards him,"Robb! You can come in. I just finished writing my most recent letter Rhaenys." She said.

"I see. I hope she's doing well," He said," But as I said, I had something that I wished to give you." He reached in his pockets and pulled out a small comb, the ones used for a decorative hair piece. The comb was golden with detailed markings and violet jewels.
