At the age of 78, the ex-prime minister Ayanokouji Kiyotaka breathed his last breath. He followed after his first, second, third, and fourth wife into the realm of the dead.

For many, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka was a person of legend.

He became prime minister at the age of 30, the youngest in history. If that wasn't impressive enough, he managed to keep his position as prime minister for 30 years. It's not because he wanted to, but because the people wanted him to lead.

The reason was simple. Under Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's rule, Japan had economically become the strongest country in the world. Their Yen, in his fifteenth years of rule, became so strong that it touched $1 per ¥3.

The only controversial decision he made was to legalize polygamy. However, since at that time Japan's birthrate was at their lowest, his decision to legalize polygamy was actually effective. People could only praise him in the end.

For the majority of Japanese people, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka was a hero -- he's their savior. They're happy to have him led them for so many years.

However, the feeling wasn't mutual. Kiyotaka wasn't happy to lead them. He had no interest to become prime minister to begin with. It's all the selfish desire of his father. The man forced him to accept a deal, the one he couldn't reject.

Become the prime minister, and I'll never bother you again.

Those words were poisonous. Kiyotaka knew that. However, he had no other choice. That man was powerful. Kiyotaka could only play along with his ambition. Otherwise, he would never feel the freedom he so desired.

Nevertheless, in the end Kiyotaka never acquired the freedom. Even after his father died, the people kept pressuring Kiyotaka to lead the nation. It was only after his second wife died that he tasted the freedom. But it was already too late.

And so....

...If reincarnation is real, if I get to have my current memories, I'll try by all means to truly live freely -- a life without any restraints and shackles.

More than twelve years ago, on 10th October, it was a nightmare for Konoha.

That night, the strongest bijuu wreaked havoc within the village. The Fourth Hokage, his wife, countless ninja and civillian died. Konoha---which was hailed as the strongest---succumbed to despair. It was the worst tragedy in their history.

If that tragedy wasn't enough, Konoha was hit by another tragedy around five years ago.

Uchiha, one of the two most noble clans of Konoha, was annihilated by a member of the clan. Out of all Uchiha, only one survived. Konoha was weakened greatly. Perhaps it was worse than the night of Kyuubi's attack.

Nevertheless, Konoha once again got up after falling hard. However, they could no longer be treated as the strongest. Uchiha was basically equal to 1/3 of their strength. With those people gone, Konoha was greatly weakened.

But there's still hope, thought Hiruzen as he stared at the unconscious blond haired boy.

Uzumaki Naruto. The son of Fourth Hokage and Uzumaki Kushina. Konoha's third jinchuriki.

He was the hope for the village's better future. Hiruzen was fully convinced after he saw a pair of blessed eyes within his eye sockets before he lost consciousness. The fact that Naruto's whisker marks disappeared convinced Hiruzen that his eyes didn't fool him.

Rokugan. An eye belonged to the blessed child of Uzumaki Clan. Although it wasn't as legendary as rinnegan, it was considered the second greatest doujutsu to ever exist in the world. It  took the second place because, unlike rinnegan, rokugan was divided into six eyes.

The First Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "Ichi" as the pupil. Aside of having all of sharingan power, First Eye was known as Eye of Illusion. The eye could bring illusion into reality.

The Second Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "Ni" as the pupil. Aside of having all of sharingan power, Second Eye could absorb all form of chakra and even life force. It's better to avoid letting the bearer of that eye to touch you should you face them.

The Third Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "San" as the pupil. Aside of having all of sharingan power, Third Eye allowed you to summon imaginary beast. The beast would be covered by purple miasma. But they could only exist in reality for ten minutes.

The Fourth Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "Yon" as the pupil. Aside of having all of sharingan power, Fourth Eye allowed you to manifest adamantite sealing chains. Adamantite sealing chains was the bloodline of female member of Uzumaki Clan, but male bearer of Fourth Eye could manifest the chains as well.

The Fifth Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "Go" as the pupil. Aside of having all of sharingan power, Fifth Eye allowed the bearer to gain super enhancement. It was no different to the effect of sennin mode.

And lastly, the Sixth Eye. It took form of a red eye with the word "Roku" as the pupil. Its unique power was unknown, but it also possessed all of sharingan power. There's no record about that eye. The most mysterious one among the six eyes.

In the second world shinobi war, there's a rumour about the birth of an Uzumaki who possessed the Sixth Eye. And because of that, three big nations---Iwa, Kumo, and Kiri---combined their forces and annihilated Uzushiogakure.

Konoha had just lost the second hokage back then, so there's nothing they could do about it.

Hiruzen, who assumed the mantle of Hokage after Tobirama died, decided to focus on the village rather than trying to help. As their ally, it was Konoha's greatest sin. But as a Hokage, Hiruzen could only do what was best for the village.

That rokugan, the eye of the blessed child of Uzumaki Clan, had found its place in Naruto's eye sockets. Because of that, his value to Konoha had increased significantly.

"Bring Naruto-kun back to his apartment," ordered Hiruzen to the anbu behind him. "Replace all his foods with a new one. Make sure to leave a note for him so that he will not forget about the academy."

...There're many theories about what would happen after a human died. However, none of those theories said anything about waking up in a small bedroom---and in a smaller body no less.

Taking a deep breath, Kiyotaka got up. He sat on the bed and analyzed his body and his surrounding. He had to ensure that this wasn't a dream or hallucination. And he had to prove that he wasn't in hell.

The result: he was alive, and he was not in hell.

"Does it mean that the life I have lived so far is just a dream...?"

As if to answer his question, Kiyotaka began to feel dizzy.

The dizziness immediately transformed into pain. The pain didn't come alone. It brought some memories into Kiyotaka's head. The memories was from his point of view, but it felt so weird that he didn't believe the memories belonged to him.

Let assume that his life as Ayanokouji Kiyotaka as a dream, did it make sense that his real self was a loud-mouthed idiot brat who liked to scream to the world about his dream of becoming hokage?

It's even worse since the villagers hated his guts. He was the pariah of this village. He was too stupid that despite all the pain he suffered, he could still smile brighter than even Honami's brightest smile. He was a naive fool.

Did it make sense that such person was a real Ayanokouji Kiyotaka?

No! It didn't make any sense. No matter what, Kiyotaka refused to believe that.

"This must be a soul transmigration! My soul has escaped the hell and now it has taken over this body."

Kiyotaka couldn't think anything else. He refused to think anything else.

Kiyotaka decided that the conclusion was final. His soul had been transmigrated into a world of ninja, inside the body of Kyuubi Jinchuriki. No other explanation was needed.
