A week had passed. The training period was over.
In total, Naruto's clones spent 10 days nontsop learning and practicing fuinjutsu. Since there were 10 clones, and considering he already mastered the core of fuinjutsu, it was equal to 100 days of learning. Save to say that, fundamentally, Naruto could call himself a fuinjutsu master.
Unfortunately, Naruto hadn't learnt any S-rank level seals. Thus, even though fundamentally he was a fuinjutsu master, he wasn't officially one. But that wasn't a problem. With enough time, he could come up with his own S-rank level seal.
More than that, the seal on his stomach was a beautiful art of seal. It was an S-rank seal. Naruto could study it some other time and replicate it. But right now his main focus was [Hiraishin]. He was almost half way in creating his [Hiraishin].
Creating four shadow clones, Naruto left his apartment. The shadow clones would continue working on [Hiraishin]. They just needed to come up with a simple teleportation mark, and then his jutsu would be close to completion.
Naruto was the third to arrive at the village gate. He wasn't late; he was three minutes early. It was those two that came faster. And three minutes later, Kakashi arrived. He was only on time when it came to mission.
"What mission have you decided for us to take, Kakashi-sensei?" asked Sakura after they exited the gate.
The fact that Kakashi didn't ask them to prepare for a long trip, it meant they could finish the mission in one day. Naruto thought that perhaps it was related to bandits extermination.
"This mission will be important to you all," said Kakashi.
"How so, Sensei?" Sakura was the most talkative out of the three genin.
"Ninja's job is to protect, but in order to protect we need to kill. There's nothing good comes from killing, but sometimes we have to kill. Ninja, in a sense, are killers. Today, the three of you will kill bandits."
Sakura was the only one to widen her eyes. It shocked her.
Sasuke didn't show any particular reaction. He only tightened his fists.
That was to be expected. His past was bloody. Well, the blood wasn't in his hand, but he had seen a lot of blood. His entire clan was massacred. Perhaps he had witnessed the process, perhaps he had not. But the point remained.
Naruto didn't need to be asked. In his eyes, killing was no different to breathing. His face remained calm.
Kakashi wasn't surprised to see the different reactions among his students. However, it was hard for him to guess what was inside Naruto's head. The blond was sometimes unreadable. But he knew he didn't need to worry about him.
"You have to be able to kill without any hesitation, otherwise it will be difficult for you to advance to the rank of chuunin, let alone jounin. As a chuunin or jounin, you have to be able to kill when you're given the order. It will be hard, but you have to face this issue."
...After several hours, Team 7 arrived at a civillian village. It was located near a small mountain.
The bandits hid above the mountain. Normally they didn't harrass the village because they needed the village. However, starting a week ago, the changed began. Having no choice, the village chief sent a mission to Konoha.
"Let's go," said Kakashi. "Your job is to simply kill all the bandits."
Sakura took a deep breath, steeling her resolve. Then she nodded her head and followed after Kakashi.
Sasuke had taken the front position, and Naruto took the back. Although their opponent were just bandits, it was necessary to count for a surprise attack -- there was no guarantee that there was no ninja among them.
